adventure!

Apr 20, 2010 19:30

So yesterday, Chi and I decided to bus to Little Tokyo. It actually took less time than I thought it would, only about 40 minutes for the first bus down Wilshire. We started walking towards the 2nd bus that would take us to Little Tokyo but...got lost -_-'
We went down the street and finally figured out ...hm. we're not going the right way *check map*
OK! THIS WAY! *walkwalkwalk*
....oh. that's not the right way either D:
DOWN THAT TUNNEL!
and finally, after going through this lonnnnngggg seemingly neverending tunnel, we arrived.
We went to Kinokuniya and wandered around for a while before going to Daikokuya for lunch. I had their tsukemen (it's like ramen...if you put everything separately) and Chi had a tempura bowl. The food was pretty good :D
After lunch, we walked around a bit more before walking back towards the bus and heading back to Westwood. On the way home i stopped at CVS to get some non-scented lotion for my tattoo and then came back to eat dinner with Priscilla and work on hw.

Today, was something of a disaster!
Obama was leaving town so...they blocked off the street (so glad that I didn't have to deal with it)
Chi called me around 7:30am and said that her bus had dropped her off at the Borders way down Westwood blvd instead of on Le Conte like it would normally so to tell the professor that she was going to be late for class.
She then called me about 20 minutes later and told me that she DEFINITELY would be late for class, since the police wouldn't let anyone cross at Westwood/Wilshire and she'd already been standing there for like 20 minutes -_-'

When I got to class almost no one was there, and when class started only like half the class was there -_-'
People started wandering in eventually though, so i guess a LOT of people got stuck in that mess =/

Oh yes, and to make the day worse it RAINED! I didn't even know it was going to rain so I hadn't even bothered to bring a jacket *sigh*
definitely going to bring a jacket tomorrow though >.<'

adventure, school, hang out, little tokyo
