Weekend!
So, Friday Kevin and I went shopping again for ingredients for dinner. I'd bought some ingredients from Nijiya in Sawtelle for Hiroshima style okonomiyaki, but we needed a few more, so we went and got them from Hong Kong Supermarket, and from Mitsuwa. We then went to Gingko House to get drinks and went back to his house hoping to start cooking...but his sister was cooking stuff for some sorority thing, so we had to wait
...and wait...
and wait =-='
...mostly because she took forever to get around to cleaning up her mess ><'
finally though we started with the food. They came out pretty tasty! no pictures this time though...because they also came out pretty ugly haha.
So, after that we went downstairs to try and watch Spirited Away which we'd gotten from Blockbuster last week (but it was busted so we had to get a replacement) ...well...that one didn't work EITHER -.-
so we went back, and ended up getting Rashomon :D
Sunday, woke up early and at around 11 went to King Hua for dimsum! Their stuff was pretty tasty (but some were...not so much). We're used of the kind of dim sum where they push carts around and you ask for what you want, but at this place you have to order it before hand. Upside? piping hot food. Downside? we ordered way too much food -.-' $40 for both of us >.o' ...at least we were stuffed? 8D?
After that we went to Santa Anita mall where we wandered around looking for cheap jeans. Kevin managed to find a pair at JC Penny, but I couldn't really find anything that wasn't like 6 inches longer than my legs =-='
We wandered around some more and I ended up spending like TWO HOURS brashopping at Cacique >.>' ...at least i found a couple? but...ugh. So much time... I hate shopping for clothes D;
Once we were done with the mall, we went to Strawberry Cones and got a large Four seasons pizza (it's like a sampler pizza :3) then went to Michaels house. We ate the pizza, and watched Coraline! It was a pretty weird movie, but I liked it
After that, Kevin and I headed off to Lyn's house where we pretty much just talked until it was late and time to go home.
Sunday, I woke up at 8 to do laundry, and tried to go back to sleep, but at 9 my grandpa woke me up to help him check his brakelight.
...which ended up like this:
him: STEP ON THE BRAKE!
me: .....I am O-o
him: ... STEP ON IT!!
me: I AMMMMM!
him: ARE YOU STEPPING ON IT
me: (omfg) YES!!!!!!!!!!!! >~<'
haha =-=' so much for sleep after that.
around 1:30 Kevin picked me up and we went to Shao may so he could get lunch, then Kiki's bakery to get some pastries to take back to school, then to Golden City so he could get a duck to bring for his mom. After that, we went to Fro's parents' photo place so Kevin could get a copy of his grandfather's photo made, but it took an hour so, we went back to his house for a while and then went back and after picking up the picture ended up talking to Fro for a long time haha, haven't seen her in ages, so that was nice :)
We dropped off the picture and bummed at his house for a bit more, until I had to go home for dinner, then come back to school
...and now a busy busy week 8D
