A/N: So I needed to do a new year's fic, and its actually a little late because I was mad tired and my best friend distracted me. But here it is! My fic and a small one-shot The Black and White of Things, I know you guys wanted a few well here we go, Ill probabaly make a bit more in the future to tie up loose ends. Its just hard. BARE WITH ME PEOPLE!

“I hate you, I really do.” I said to Sho as he dragged me down the street. “I don’t understand why we can’t just stay home this time. You know I don’t want to do this.”

Sho glanced back at me gripping my hand tighter. “You said that, five times, and no matter how many more you say it nothing will change. We’re going.” I saw the smile on his face. My cheeks started to hear up at bit.

I was beyond embarrassed. “Please, I really can’t stand this it’s to cold out here. This is not good of an amnesiac’s health; do you want me to go bad or insane…or something of the like?” I tried to get Sho to at least stop walking but he wouldn’t have that, he never let go of my hand. I guess things were still bothering him deep down, after all he hadn’t left my side for a few days, but I couldn’t pin point the exact reasons to why.

He just called me up the other night saying that I needed to come over right away then hung up…

“Say what…?” I yawn looking over at the clock. It was 4 o’clock in the morning; I should not be getting phone calls at this hour.

I heard something clank on the other end of the line. “Don’t be stupid Jun. You heard me. Come over right away. Please.” The line went dead. Before handing up I took it upon myself to just stare at the phone. “What the hell…?”

It was freezing cold out, 4 in the morning, and here I was. The only idiot who would be outside at this hour in the dead of winter. And why was I out this late? Because Mr. Brainiac, Sakurai Sho, couldn’t have waited till day light ours to talk to me.

Walking over to his place was a huge project. I was about to pass out when I got to his apartment. “Why do you want to kill me?” I said shivering when Sho opened the door. He didn’t answer me though but just threw his arms around me leaving me shocked.

I was reluctant to move so I stood there like and idiot for a few minutes. “Uh Sho…” I said, “What’s wrong? You never act like this.” Not that I really knew how he acted, half my memory was worth crap still and it pained me to see Sho like this because of it. I could just tell the two were tied together somehow and he wasn’t dealing with it ass well anymore. His heart was slowly breaking down; he was crumbling, and close to giving up so many times. It pained me too see this, that’s why I was keeping to myself or hanging out with Aiba, I figured Sho needed space.

“I needed reasurance.” He mumbled into my neck. “It was horrible, just…everything.”

“What?” I put my arms lightly around his wasit and tried to get him to let me see his face. “I don’t understand, what was so horrible?”

He backed up but didn’t look me in the eye. “Please, Jun, don’t make me relive it. Just believe me. I need that, and you.” I couldn’t tell what was brothing him. He wasn’t drunk…beyond sober was more like it, but still this was strange, and not even Aiba worthy strange.

It was a little later that night when Sho had explained to me what happened.

“I had the strangest dream. It was back when you first got out of the hospital and lost your memory. But the only difference was you didn’t really forget anything. Like you know who our friend where, you knew how you got into the hospital, and everything. The odd thing was though; you didn’t know who I was. You practically hated me when we first met when you got out. And none of use could understand why but you just hated me.” He paused them gave me a small laugh, “I know, I’m just being an idiot.”

Maybe that was still bothering him. That on top of the fact that it’s harder for me to remember him, it makes sense. But Sho knows I would never hate him, so why it this all coming up?

I watched his back as he dragged me along more. It was still freezing cold out and I did not like the cold. “I swear to you Sakurai Sho, if I get sick your a dead man.”

He laughed at me and turned when we stopped walking. “And just what do you plan to do?”

I scoffed at him. “Nothing to worry your pretty little head about. I promise you though, I will be the last face you see, and it will be a horrible death.”

He pushed my a little closer to the railing on the bridge. “What do you plan to do? A Romeo and Juliet type of thing? I know you wouldn’t live long without me.”

“Ahh that would be an option. But then again, wouldn’t it work better the other way around. You find me in the hospital…think I’m dead, kill yourself, and then I wake to find you dead then kill myself. Does leave much for our friends though.”

Sho stood behind me and wrapped his arms around my waste. I always missed he was a few inches taller than me unless we were close together like this. We stood there is silence for a minute or two before he spoke up again not moving an inch.

“In all seriousness though, the fact of living in a world without you scares me. I wouldn’t know what to do… It was the same when I heard you were in the hospital. I was so scared. I thought I had really lost you. I felt it was a dream for a while at first. But here you are, right in my arms.”

As if on cue New Year’s Fire works started to go off on the other end of the Bay. It was a beautiful sight. I stood there in awe for a while forgetting everything around me. The only thing that matter was Sho and I, and our little moment of peace.
It was then that I noticed a small feeling in my heart. I really did need Sho, and he needed me. Even though I still close to nothing about our relationship none of that mattered for all I needed was to know he cared for me, and he needed the same from me. That was all. But it was more than enough.

I let out a small sneeze proving that I was in fact getting sick by standing out here. “I blame you.” I said still wrapped up in Sho’s arms.

“Shut up, you know it was worth it.”

“Yes, perhaps it was.” I turned to look at him a bit but instead up looking at his face we searched the insides of each others mouth for a bit. And Ill be honest, being lip locked with Sho on New Year’s with fire works are going off across the bay, was perfectly fine by me. When we parted I sneezed again. I pulled myself from Sho’s arms and took his hand. “I can see the head lines now. ‘Two young men found dead by Tokyo Bay on New Year’s. Sakurai Sho and Matsumoto Jun.’ the Article will read something like: ‘The young lovers we’re out watching that fireworks when out of no where Matsumoto seemed to have killed Sakurai. The roumer is believed to be he got sick and took the anger out on Sakurai.’ And so on.”

I laughed when I saw the look in Sho’s eyes. He was trying not to laugh and be Mr. serious. But it was failing. So admitting my demise and deciding to let this one go I simply took his scarf and wrapped it around my neck. We walked hand in hand down the street back to Sho’s apartment, it was obvious what was going to happen, after all I knew for a fact that Sho has a bottle or two of champagne.
