Arashi・Ninomiya 10 years since his blonde hair! 24 Hour TV Special Drama

Daily Sports 5/22 (Tuesday) Delivered 7:17 AM

It was revealed on the 21st that Ninomiya Kazunari (28) of popular group, Arashi, will show his blonde hair since 10 years ago in the drama special "Kuruma Isu de Boku wa Sora wo Tobu" (planned to air 8/25 evening), which will air in the frame of NTV's "24 Hour TV 35 Love Will Save the World".

Ninomiya, who will star for the first time in this airing period, plays the role of a young man with blonde hair in a wheelchair who became paraplegic after being involved in a conflict with hoodlums. The last time Ninomiya had blonde hair was in 2002 in the movie "PIKA☆NCHI LIFE IS HARD DAKEDO HAPPY".

Ninomiya appears in the long waited special drama that has been a custom in 24 Hour TV. Ninomiya, who has his first leading role in the drama that has been going on since 1980, put in power by stating, "It is a production in the making amidst many things that are a first to me. Talking it out with the staff and co-stars, I would like to deliver it to the audience believing in the things that were born there."

The original work of this production is Hasegawa Taizou's (46) "Inochi no Counseling". It portrays the appearance of a young man (who becomes paraplegic and is forced to live his life on a wheelchair after a trouble with hoodlums) who wants to take a step forward as a counselor from his desire to "help someone".  Ninomiya challenges the blonde hair appearance ever since Arashi's first lead role movie in 2002, for his role is a young man who has joined a delinquent group since middle school. Of course since he is dying his hair, he will be in his other shows with blonde hair as well, while all of the filming for the drama takes place in June and July.

In the past, Ninomiya has acted very well as a young man who was burdened with his handicap, and received a high reputation from his acting. In the TBS special drama "Sukoshi wa, Ongaeshi ga Dekitakana" (2006), he played a protagonist who entered into Tokyo University while battling with a malignant tumor, and won the 15th Hashida Award. In the TBS touching drama special project "Marathon" (2007), he won the individual airing award in the 62nd Cultural Affairs Awards after playing the role of a young man who completed a full marathon while facing with autism.

Ninomiya, who will once again challenge a difficult role, will bring deep emotion and impression to the household living room through the role of a young man who rises from the edge of despair.
