Title: Homecoming
Series: Drabble
Pairing: Sakuraiba
Summary: For Sakurai Sho, Japan is home.
Notes: Another quite thoughtless drabble, somewhat related to me coming home after a 4-day vacation. It's nothing much. Dedicated to a certain darling who said she missed me after I've been gone for a day. I love you. :D
The airport was crowded and noisy, very much like what an airport should be actually, so Sho could hardly begrudge the world for sending him an onslaught of chatterbox tourists, squealing teenagers and whiny children, all breathlessly excited about entering the wonderful land of Japan. For those noisy people, Japan would be a place of wonder and glamour, of adventure, excitement and romance. It’s a vacation spot, a dream come true and for some, it was a relief from the pangs of reality. For others, it was a job opportunity, a chance to redeem themselves, a sanctuary of second chances. For Sakurai Sho it was home.
Rearranging his dark purple shades on the bridge of his nose, Sho squinted through the throngs of people crowding in the reception area. He hitched his bag tiredly on his shoulder, as he started his journey toward the exit, blurred shapes and sparkling colors swimming through his vision. A familiar shape caught his eye and the colors swirled together into a sweet blend of honey and cream. Sho smiled at the vision facing away from him, a household spirit sent by the gods to welcome him home. A happy feeling bubbled in his stomach as he approached the figure carefully. Setting his bag on the ground, he came near, breathing in the scent he so longed for.
“Did you miss me, baby?” he whispered lovingly, hands delicately covering his lover’s eyes.
A shiver of delight passed through his spine as the man in his arms turned, surprise in his eyes, a smile on his lips, and greeted him with a soft kiss.
“Yes,” whispered Aiba simply, clinging to the warmth of his lover.
Yes, Japan was home, for Sakurai Sho, simply because Aiba was there.
