I mentioned this to my friend and told her the Channel U staffer must be an Arashi fan since we hear so many of their different tunes played for VSA trailers. Her dour reply was just "It's a pure coincidence."

Well, whatever. I still think they planned it on purpose! Coz they didnt even need to telecast NazoDi immediately after Zenkai Girl which ended yesterday. Why not after a short break?

yes! i think they're very aggressive in bringing in J-stuff and arashi stuff. My mum (the pro gossiper) says that mediacorp got a new person in the higher management... and that person apparently studied in Japan and likes J-stuff, hence the sudden influx of Japan show/Japan related shows on TV.

Either way I'm glad J-pop is starting to make a come back in SG XD

And could that person being referred to be one Sharon Au?

She had a scholarship to study in Waseda (that's why she joined Mediacorp in the first place) but she took her own sweet time going about it! She's still with TCS but in an executive post now.
