Maou (Edited Sept. 28)
Just to clarify, I am still sick, but a happy sick person at that!
So a friend of mine, who I havn't seen in 2 years, texted me and asked me to meet up with her in Chinatown. I really didn't want to go because I'm really tired and still sick and am dressed like it's snowing (even though it's not) because I'm really cold nowadays. Anyways, so I meet her there and she drags me to the movie store and asks me to pick out any drama I want and she'll buy it for me as an early birthday gift (and to make up for the last 2 years of not seeing one another)
I was tired, I just walked up the aisle, not really looking since I already got 1LOT and Last Friends while shopping with my other friend who moved to another city at the beginning of the month (I miss her tooT__T)
Anyway, I kinda just looked over HYD, HYD2, Bambino...etc, etc. (I don't have them, but they were too expensive so I didn't want her to get those) and I ended up finding MAOU!!!!!!!!!!!
My voice is at the moment non-existant so I ended up screaming soundlessly and pointing at the DVD and she looked at it (she thought I'd want a Korean drama....) and said, "That's not Korean." I nodded my head in response and pointed at Ohno's face as I whipped out my iPod and scrolled to my Arashi playlist and pointed at it. She then realized that he was from "the band I obsess over" (that's how she remembers Arashi *sigh*) and bought it for me.
There was also Code Blue on DVD and she thought I'd want it too since she knows for a fact that I like Yamapi, but I ended up choosing Maou, since I am dying to know what that "LIVE = EVIL" from that raw episode 6 I saw a tiny bit of.
So, maybe I'll be able to write a new chapter and watch Maou at the same time....

EDIT September 28, 2008 1:24 AM - So I popped in disc 2, after finishing the first 6 episodes which were on disc 1 (obviously) and when I started watching episode 7 (which seems to be an important episode) the subtitles were so...GAH! Toma's name, "Naoto" was read as "Straight People" in the subs....@____@ and the whole episode I sat there....not understanding the subs. It was so bad... I tried to figure out what the subs were trying to tell me by watching the scene... but when people started crying, I was totally at a loss as to the dialogue. I stopped watching after episode 7 was over because I was mad at the subs, so I guess I'll start watching again when my anger subsides (yeah, i know, don't buy at Chinatown...but since there's really bad quality online and I can't download onto my computer, I really have no choice but get bad subs)
Other than that, I kinda started a little of episode 8 to see if the subs were still bad, and they were. Ohno's character, "Naruse-sensei" in episode 7 was "Ling Cai" and then in episode 8, (the first 5 minutes of episode i believe) his name suddenly became "Clam"...then I turned off my DVD player and went online again *sighs* I guess I`ll finish watching the DVD at some point then go to my soju and watch it with
hopefully understandble subs.
And another thing I just realized, Oshinari Shugo (is Soda Mitsuru in Maou) and Tanaka Kei (is Kasai Hitoshi in Maou) had roles in Hana Yori Dango just like Toma-chan...and Oshinari was also in Yamada Taro Monogatari and Tanaka was in Gokusen 1. Is it just me, or are a lot of actors in JE boy dramas actors that have had previous roles in dramas with them? I just thought that was cool....or something XD
