perkyandproud, you asked for very simple story, I had difficulties in choosing a good plot, I change the story three time and then I stuck with this idea, so I hope it will satisfies you.
There he was. Sleeping peacefully in his comfortable bed, cuddling his pillows, and a smile on his face. He felt warm and safe, he had nothing to worry about. That's what he had thought until fifteen minutes ago.
Now, he is sitting on his couch next to his best friend, who is sobbing and crying hard. It's midnight and he's sleepy, but he can’t possibly leave him like that. All he had to do was to watch him quietly since the other didn’t intend to utter a word about what's wrong with him.
“Nino, please, stop crying and tell me what happened?” He approaches Nino, getting closer to him and wiping his tears gently. But Nino keeps on crying. “Ninoooo~ Say something.”
“Aiba-chan…” Finally, he looks at him and says something. “Me and J…” He stops and gives a sob. “We… we broke up...” He cries out loud.
“Eh?” Aiba, who was feeling sleepy, became completely awake now by the sudden news “What? Eh, H-how? What’s happened” Now, that explains his existence in Aiba’s place at midnight. “Why?” He asks, throwing his arm around Nino’s shoulder.
“We had a fight,” He starts, wiping his tears, “And we started yelling at each other, then he said that he doesn’t want me anymore, that I rely on him completely and that I'm too childish and annoying.” He says, covering his face with his hands which Aiba pulls away and drags him to lie his head on his lap.
“I don’t think Matsumoto-kun meant it,” He brushes Nino’s hair with his long beautiful fingers. “Maybe he just said it out of anger.” He said.
“But what if he really meant it?” Nino sobs, Aiba feels his hot tears against his thighs, “What if he really doesn’t want me anymore?” He burst out, gripping into Aiba’s pants tightly.
“Nino, don’t say stuff like that, I am sure he loves you just as much,” Aiba pulls him up and looks him in the eyes “He will realize his mistake and will apologize to you."
“Do you really think so?” He asked with a shaking voice.
“Yes, I am sure about it!” He affirmed and stood up from the couch. “Let’s go and sleep now, it’s late.” He scratches his body and yawns, then he taps Nino on the shoulder. “Relax and don’t think about it too much.” He encouraged him as he gave him his best smile.
~ Next Morning ~
That was the worst morning Aiba had ever had in his entire life. Having gloomy Nino spreading his negative energy around the apartment and complaining all the time was just too much to handle. Yes, he feels sorry for the heartbroken Nino, but he hopes Matsumoto will come as soon as possible to take him away. It's only so much he can take. He's only human after all.
They just finished their breakfast. Nino was washing the dishes downheartedly, while Aiba excused himself to take a shower before going to the college.
Several minutes later, someone knocks on the door. Nino jumps startled. Who is it that comes visit at this ungodly hour in the morning? But then, as another thought came by, a happy and a stupid smile appeared on his face. JUN!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
When Aiba finished his shower, he wrapped a towel around his waist and used another one to dry his hair. He got out of the bathroom to see Nino angry and yelling at whomever the poor person sitting on his couch was.
“What is happening he-” He didn’t have the chance to continue as Nino yelled again.
“TELL THAT FRIEND OF YOURS, ASSHOLE!” He yelled, making the two people in the room freeze, then he ran to Aiba’s room. Aiba tried to catch him but before he was able to do that the towel around his waist fell down exposing his completely naked body to the stranger.
Aiba quickly eyed him, he was looking away with a bright red face. “Please wait a sec,” He gripped his towel and went to his room, closing the door behind him. Nino was lying on the bed, shoving his face on the pillow and screaming.
When he looked up he was presented with Aiba's stark naked body. “Put something on, pervert!” He yelled, throwing a pillow at the taller guy. Aiba wore whatever clothes he could find in front of him, then he went back to the living room.
The guest was still sitting on the couch, looking shy. When Aiba looked at him he recognized him as being one of Matsumoto-kun’s friend. He remembered seeing him few times with Matsumoto here and there.
“I’m very sorry about what happened earlier,” He apologized.
“No, no, I guess I chose the wrong time to visit. I’ll come back later, it looks like Nino doesn't want to talk with me right now.” He said and was ready to leave but he was stopped by Aiba.
“No! You can’t leave like this. Please, sit and tell me what you wanted to discuss with Nino and I’ll talk to him later.” He suggested. Forcing the guest back to his seat.
Aiba prepared for him and the guest two cups of hot coffee. He placed them on the small coffee table in front of them and sat on the opposite couch. “By the way, I am Aiba Masaki,” He said flashing him a smile. “I guess this is our first time meeting." He continued as he took a sip from his coffee.
“And I am Sakurai Sho, I've seen you for a few times with Nino, but I've never got the chance to introduce myself.” He said, smiling back.
“So, what did you want to tell Nino?” Aiba asked, curiously.
“Jun was the one who sent me here,” He started.
“Why did he send you? He should've come to talk to Nino by himself, or at least call him” Aiba complained, becoming a bit angry.
“Nino forgot his phone at Jun’s place,” Sho took the said object from his pocket and placed it on top of the table. “this is his, and Jun really doesn’t feel like talking to Nino right now, so I came instead of him.” He explained.
“Tell Nino that he has to come tonight to their place to collect his stuff,” He said in clear low voice making Aiba spits his coffee.
“What?!” He coughed. “Isn’t that a bit too soon? They still haven’t even talked to each other!” He said almost yelling.
“Yes, I don’t know what happened between them, but Jun now is in his worst moods yet, and he looked serious about everything he said,” He informed him. “And If he didn’t take them by tomorrow, Jun will burn them all, that’s what he said.” He finished.
“I know it’s not my business, but I am sure Jun will regret it later. So, how about doing what he thinks he wants for now and go with the flow?” He added.
Aiba felt miserable, how could Jun act so selfish and be this rude to his boyfriend? It sets Aiba off, but right now what sets him off the most was Sakurai, he was merely controlling himself not to yell at him and kick him out of the house.

After Sakurai left them, Aiba goes to the college, dragging Nino along with difficulty, since the heartbroken boy wanted to skip classes.
Luckily, After attending two classes, Nino hasn’t met Jun once. Aiba speculated it was for the best, or they will definitely be having another fight and Nino will end up crying again. Just thinking about Jun breaking up with him that easily makes the tears form in his eyes, but he quickly wipes them away before Aiba would notice them.
Since they're both feeling thirsty, they went to a nearby coffee shop. It’s Aiba’s favorite shop, it's also Matsumiya’s favorite. Nino stops halfway, he stares down at some point on the floor, looking upset.
“What’s wrong?” Aiba asked.
“What if I meet him there? He loves this café...” He whispered sadly. Aiba rolls his eyes.
“Nothing will happen, just try not to look at him, ok?” Aiba said.
“Believe me, I'll start a war if we meet again. I am not going there. You go and buy me a chocolate milkshake with Ohno's special bun,” Nino wasn’t asking Aiba, he was giving him an order. Aiba sighed and went alone to the café.
Aiba stood in front the cashier, ready to order. He felt a familiar aura beside him, he turned around to see who it was to see Sakurai, Matsumoto’s friend. They smiled at each other.
“So, you too?” Sakurai giggled while looking at the menu.
“Huh?” Aiba wondered.
“I guess Nino sent you here because Jun did that to me. I really can’t handle him, he is so moody,” Sho complained.
“Yes, same as Nino, ” Aiba said, then they fell in silence.
After that, The owner of the café, Ohno Satoshi, came to take their orders. “Aiba-chan, how are you? Oh, you are here too, Sho-kun!” He greeted them with a bright smile.
“I’m fine, Ohno-san,” Sakurai answered, smiling back at him.
“Where are the lovebirds?” He asked as he used to see them every day.
“Not in a good mood today.” Aiba replied, smiling anxiously.
“Really?” He scowled. “I love to see them here every day. Anyway, your orders?” Ohno asked.
“Two chocolate milkshakes and two of your special buns” Aiba ordered.
“What about you, Sho-kun?” He eyes Sho.
“Two lattés and a cookie,” Sho said.
“Very well, your total is 2000 Yen”. Ohno said.
“Wait, we aren’t together,” Sho interrupted him.
“Eh? I thought you were together, you look like a couple to me.” He pondered. “I’m sorry, I can’t cancel that...” Ohno apologized sheepishly.
“It’s ok, I’ll pay,” Sho sighed, getting his wallet out of his pocket and was about to hand the money to Ohno, just to be stopped by Aiba.
“No, I’ll pay!” Aiba argued. But Sho just nudged him softly and gave Ohno the money. Then Aiba got his money out of his pocket. “Then, take my share,” Aiba said, handing the money to Sakurai.
“No need.” He took his order and got out of the café without giving a chance for Aiba to talk him into taking it.
Aiba sighed and left soon after Sakurai. He met with Nino at the park, where he said he was going to wait for him, and handed him the milkshake and the bun.
Nino welcomed his food with a bright smile, he quickly took a sip from his milkshake and chewed on his bun happily. In a second, his face expressions changed to become gloomy again. “Was he there?” He asked wistfully.
“No, Sakurai was there,” Aiba mocked, taking a bite of his bun. Nino giggled.
“What? You fell in love already?” He teased.
“NO WAY! He just annoys me to no end. Besides, he is not even my type!” He insisted, then he change the subject. “By the way, he asked me to tell you that…” Before he was able to continue, Nino interrupted him.
“I know, I have to take my stuff from Jun’s place, but that's NEVER going to happen! I’m not going there again!” He said angrily “If it bothers him that much, he should collect them himself. Also, why the Hell did he send Sakurai? Can’t he say it clearly to my face that my stuff is bothering him?” He ended, stomping his feet on the ground slightly.
“If you didn’t take them he will burn them all!” Aiba added, raising his eyebrow. “What if he burned your beloved Wii or your Playstation? You wouldn't like that” Aiba smirked. Nino stares at Aiba desperately.
“He will never do it, he can’t do it.” He hummed. Aiba gripped Nino from his shoulders and shook him.
“Nino! Go and talk to him! Maybe you will make up, maybe he'll apologize. You never know what will happen unless you go and give it a try.” Aiba advised him, smiling warmly at him. Nino jumped and hugged Aiba tightly.
“AIBA-CHAN!” He cried out. Aiba thought he convinced Nino.
“Go to him,” He pats his back softly.
“NO! Aiba-chan, would you please go instead of me? I need you to save my game systems!” Aiba broke the hug, looking at him with unbelieving eyes.
“You’re crying because of your games!” He was surprised that Nino wasn't affected by his words, and he was worried about his games.
“Please, Aiba-chan, please!” He clapped his hands together, begging Aiba and giving him his best puppy eyes. He knew Aiba was weak against these eyes.
“Ok! I get it, don’t look at me like that!”.
“Thank you, Aiba-chan!” He hugged him once again and broke it quickly right after. “Don’t forget my favorite yellow t-shirt too, and my heart-patterned PJs, also the PJs with the giant head of a teddy on it,” He started counting the stuff he wanted, while Aiba listened to him, completely not interested, rollings his eyes skyward and nodding at whatever he said.

Aiba is standing in front of Matsumoto’s apartment lazily. He didn’t have any intention to come here, but he did for his friend's sake. Besides, Nino wanted to get revenge. ‘If he sent his friend, I will do the same!’ that was what he said. Aiba sighed once again before he knocked on the door, and an excepted thing happened.
The one who opened the door wasn’t Matsumoto but Sakurai. Aiba’s heart stopped beating for a second. Why do I have to meet him everywhere?! He gulped.
“Aiba-kun? Why are you here? Where is Nino?” Sakurai starts. Aiba gave him one of his fake, well-practiced smiles.
“What are YOU doing here? I came to take Nino’s stuff!” He said in angry tone. He pushes through Sakurai and invites himself inside. He kept looking around the apartment for Nino's belongings.
“Where is Matsumoto-san?” He asked, looking for the latter in each room angrily.
“Not here today, he asked me to stay here to make sure Nino took all of his belongings.” He said, coldly.
Aiba pouts. He brings a traveling bag and starts to collect Nino’s stuff from the shared bedroom. He was planning on talking to Matsumoto, but he never expected this guy will show up here. He didn’t know why he couldn't bear being with him. Could that be... hate from the first sight?
He glared at Sakurai, he was sitting on the bed, playing with his phone. He was wearing a striped t-shirt, and a pair of blue jeans, a simple outfit. Then he found himself staring at his arm’s muscles, it was toned and he looked really cool. He quickly got back to what he was doing when he noticed Sakurai was staring at him too.
Aiba stole a quick glance at Sakurai, he was still staring at him with this lewd smirk on his face. Disgusting! He thought.
When he finished, he closed the bag and stood up abruptly ready to leave. He took few steps before he stumbled clumsily by the clothes that were scattered on the floor. Right before he fell down, Sakurai caught him by his waist trying to stop him from hitting the floor, but unfortunately, he lost balance and they both fell together. Sho on top of Aiba.
Their faces were only 1 inch apart. Aiba’s face turned tomato red and Sakurai felt the heat coming from Aiba. Slowly, Sakurai moved his face to Aiba's, apparently trying to steal a kiss. Aiba turned his face to the side and pushed Sakurai gently. “Hey,” Aiba whispered softly. Sakurai cupped his chin still determined to kiss him, but Aiba kept on avoiding it.
“I know you want it too,” He said. “You were looking at me earlier, who knows what were you thinking about...” He giggled. This time, Aiba pushed him violently and made a decent distance between them.
“HUH? Don’t be arrogant! I never thought of you in that way!” He told him, before he rushed out of the apartment, carrying the bag with him, his heart beating like crazy.
Once he reached his own apartment, he threw the bag and quickly went to the kitchen to pour for himself a glass of cold water. He drinks it all at once, still trying to catch his breath. Nino watched him curiously from behind.
“Something happened?” He asked him anxiously.
“EVERYTHING HAPPENED!” He bursts out. “I’ll kill him the next time I see him!" He shouted angrily, and Nino covered his mouth out of shock.
“OH MY GOD! I can’t believe it! Did he do something to you?” He asked.
“Yes, he tried to kiss me! That asshole!” Aiba hit the table with his fist.
“I-I c-can’t believe it...” Nino cried, the tears streaming down his face instantly wetting his cheeks. “He just broke up with me and now he is trying to hook up with my friend... I should've never let you go there...” He shouted. Just then did Aiba realize the misunderstanding and what Nino was saying.
“Oh, um... Nino, It wasn’t like that,” Aiba lead Nino's lifeless body to the living room and let him sit on the couch. “Don’t cry, It wasn’t Matsumoto I was talking about,” He said softly, wiping his tears.
“Then, who would be there beside him!” He huffed.
“Sakurai was there and he is the one who tried to kiss me,” He shudders.
Nino’s happy face appeared again. “THANKS GOD!” He was glad. “Then? What happened?” He quickly went back to the subject. asking curiously. Aiba stood up and went to bed followed by Nino.
“Of course, I pushed him away,” Aiba said simply, opening the closet and choosing a pajama before he stripped out of his clothes.
“Eh? What a waste!” He said, frustrated.
“Instead of worrying about me, you should worry about yourself, stupid!” He said, giving Nino a soft hit on his arm, making Nino pouts.
After both changed their clothes, they went to bed. They shared Aiba’s single bed, even though Nino moved a lot during his sleep, Aiba didn’t mind that much. He wanted to calm him down and let him forget about what happened between Jun and him.
Aiba couldn’t sleep, every time he tries to, he sees Sakurai trying to kiss him. He wanted to forget about that, he wanted to erase that image from his brain, but he couldn’t.
Just when he was thinking of Sakurai, he heard faint sobs. He turned to Nino’s side to see him crying in his sleep. Aiba felt sorry for him, he knew how much Nino loves Jun, and a simple fight was not enough to break them down. Aiba believed that they will get back together soon, they just needed someone to push them.
Aiba pets Nino’s head softly “Don’t worry, everything will be ok.” He whispered.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
It’s been one week since that day. Nino still feeling sad about the breakup, but he tried his best to not show his weakness. For Aiba, Nino’s attempt was useless, because he knew how his friend better, and he knew he was sad and broken deep inside.
Nino kept sending Aiba to buy him milkshakes from their favorite café, and Aiba met Sakurai every time he went there, but he avoided him as much as he can. He never talked to him since the accident in Matsumoto’s place. He tried his best to hide when he sees him in the café or any other place.
Today should be the same as any other day, he will go to the café, wait 5 minutes outside, enter slowly then hide behind the tables until he reaches the cashier, order quickly and rush out.
But this time, when Aiba was ready to order, he felt a sudden pat on his shoulder and he jumped out of reflex giving a little shout, he turned around to see the last person he wanted to see that morning, Sakurai.
“What do you want? You scared me!” Aiba said in a panic.
“Aren’t you avoiding me?” He pouts. Aiba blushes.
“Huh? No…. I’m not, it’s your imagination.” He said, trying to get away from him. Sho didn’t say anything in reply, he waited until Ohno came to take his order.
“One Latté and a chocolate milkshake,” Sakurai ordered.
Once his order was ready, he handed the cup to Aiba. Aiba looked at him, astonished. “Let’s go,” He said before he took a grip on his wrist, but Aiba quickly let himself off.
“No,” He disagreed.
Sakurai flashed him a creepy smile that made him shiver. He took him to the front door, then he stopped. “Jun is outside, and I believe Nino is as well." Then he dragged him out from the café’s backdoor.
“Where are you taking me?” He asked.
“To wonderland!” He joked, then laugh.
They reached a riverside, full of green grass under the bridge. Sakurai laid down once they made it there. He pat on his side so Aiba would lay beside him, but he sat just a little bit far away from him.
“So?” He asked wondering, why did they come here?
“I wanted to spend some time with you, I can’t?” He answered, smiling at him.
“You barely know me, why do you want to spend time with me...?” He pouted, angry. He passed him out.
“Of course to get to know more about you,” He said. “Besides, I had enough of Jun, I want to see other people.” He added, he noticed how Aiba’s cheeks were red.
They sat in silence, no one talked after that. Sakurai stood up going towards the river, he grabbed a stone and threw it, while Aiba drank his milkshake. Then, out of the blue, he said: “Will you date me?” Aiba choked on his drink.
“Huh? Why? Eh? Never!” He said without thinking.
“Because, I think I love you.” He said simply, and before Aiba was able to reply, he added: “Yes, I know, I barely know you, you said that already, but I see you from far away when you hung out with Nino, and I think you are my type. So, how about we date and get to know each other more, and if you don’t like then, that'll be the end of it.” Said Sho, coldly.
“And who said I will date anyone that easily!” He mocked. “Sorry, but I refuse your offer, this is the end of it!” He stood up angrily, and left, but was stopped by Sakurai who said.
“I’m not talking this as an answer. Meet me at Shibuya next Sunday at 11:00 AM, we will go out on a date, I’ll be waiting for you.” He yelled so Aiba could hear him.
“I'm not coming, so don't wait for me.”
“I’ll wait,” He said, but got no response, however.
'He says he doesn't love me, yet he blushes every time I meet him. He is so easy to read, like an open book. He is just not honest with himself.' Sho thought to himself as he giggled.
~ Meanwhile ~
Nino checked his watch few times. Aiba is late. He had to check on him. He can't wait anymore, so he went to the café to check on his friend. When he was about to open the door to the café, he bumped into someone.
“Hey! Watch out!” He said, then he saw his face, it was the person he was trying to avoid the most, Jun. It was their first time meeting after they broke up. And so far, it's awkward.
Jun didn’t say anything, he gave him a cold glance then went back inside the café, but then a bag was thrown at his back. He moaned in pain. “What are you doing?” He yelled at the small brat in front of him. Nino didn’t know why he hit Jun either, Jun's stares were getting on his nerves.
“Won't you at least ask me how I am doing?” He said angrily, flames burning in his eyes.
“It not important to me,” He replied coldly, avoiding his eyes.
“WHAT! I became a stranger to you that easy?!” He yelled gripping his collar and forcing him to face him “I might be your ex now, but that doesn't change the fact I was your boyfriend once! We were in a relationship for almost a year!”.
“So?” he taunted.
“IT’S NOT SO, ASSHOLE!” Nino pushed him with all his might, he felt his tears threaten to fall. All the customers were looking at them now, then the cafe’s owner, Ohno, came by as he heard Nino’s yell.
“Nino, Matsujun, what is happening here?” He asked, looking at them questioningly, but no one answered him. Just after a minute, Aiba enters the café, followed by Sakurai. Jun is angry, and Nino is trying his very best not to cry, but his tears keep on falling.
“Oh yes, by all mean, cry. It's what you do the best. You are just a crybaby, a baby who can’t do anything by himself!” He insults him. Nino gets triggered and he quickly wipes his tears.
“Don't tell me you forgot how you used to cry beneath me!” Nino yelled, taking everyone in the café by surprise. Aiba and Ohno's jaws dropped and Sakurai tried to control his giggles. Jun’s face turned as white as the clouds and Nino gasped for breath as if he had used all the power he had left to say that.
Moments later, Nino ran away, leaving a shocked Jun behind him and followed by Aiba.

Before Aiba noticed it, it’s already Sunday. He didn’t know what should he do, he kept on wondering in the living room as he sighed. Should he go or not? If he did go, will Sakurai be there? Or was it just a prank? He thought as he sighed again for the nth time.
“If you don't sit down, I’ll kick your butt! Just what’s wrong with you?” Nino said angrily while preparing his cornflakes. Aiba gave him a look of despair and sighed again, he looked at his watch once again and it was 11:15 AM. Should he ask Nino for an advice?
“He asked me out on a date! Shall I go?” Aiba said nervously. Nino choked.
“What?! Who?! What are you doing here, hurry up and go!” Nino said the moment he realized who it was.
“It's Sakurai, but I can't really trust him. Also, I’m too late already” He hesitated. Nino went a couple Aiba and wrapped his arms around his shoulder.
“Do you trust me?” Nino asked quietly.
“Yes...” Aiba replied.
“Then, go!” He said “I am sure he is there waiting for you, and if I am not mistaken, he is probably deeply in love with you. I caught him a couple of times staring at you.” He added. Aiba blushed, he remembered Sakurai’s confession from that day.
“Do you think so?”
“100% positive! You can call me The Love Master,” Nino joked then before he walked back to the kitchen for his breakfast.
Aiba hesitated at the first, then he quickly went and changed his clothes. He intended into making sure of Sakurai’s feelings first, because he was so sure that Sakurai's playing around with him and he will reject him immediately.
When Aiba reached there, it was almost 12, he thought he was too late and maybe Sakurai was tired of waiting and left. But when the place became less crowded, he saw him. He was resting his back on the tree and playing with his phone, he looked so cool. He is wearing tight black jeans and the bloody v-neck shirt that showed his perfect toned neck and his arm’s muscles. Cool. Aiba thought.
“Sakurai-san,” Aiba called him, Sakurai turned around and smiled the moment his eyes caught Aiba's.
“You came!” He said happily. “I knew you would."
“It’s just that I hate to make people wait for me...” Aiba said shyly. Sakurai came closer, cupping his face.
“You’re not honest, you know.” He whispered, then he held him from his wrist. “Let’s go”.
“Where are we going?” Aiba asked, following Sakurai.
“I already have it scheduled,” He said as he leaned Aiba a paper with very specific details of what they were going to do. Aiba's jaw dropped, astonished.
“In short?” Aiba asked, not even bothering himself to read any of the details written on it. Sakurai sighs.
“In short, we will go to the aquarium. Then, we will be having lunch together. After that, we will go shopping and possibly eat ice-creams,” He said. “And if you are interested, I've made a space where we can go to that love ho-” Aiba cuts him.
“NO!” He yelled clearly.
“As you like,” Sakurai scowls.
When they reached the aquarium. Sakurai couldn't help but smile at the big child in front of him as Aiba made all kind of cute and astonished expressions when he saw the fishes.
Aiba totally forgot about Sakurai’s existence, he enjoyed every second on the aquarium. He got very excited, he dragged Sakurai and pointed at how amazing the fishes were. He didn’t hesitate one moment about showing his childish side in front of Sakurai.
After they finished their tour in the aquarium, they visited the mini shop and bought a whale keychain as a souvenir.
Aiba became extremely active after that. Then, they both went to a luxurious restaurant to get lunch. They order their food and started digging in all the while talking about random stuff. Aiba found a new side of Sakurai that made him all the more attractive to him. But then, out of the blue, Sakurai changed the subject of what they were talking about.
“It’s about Jun and Nino,” He started. “Can you please convince Nino to apologize to Jun? I can’t see my friend suffer like that anymore." Aiba’s mood changes quickly from happy to angry.
“Why should Nino apologize? Isn't Matsumoto-san the one who kicked him out?” He said loudly and angrily.
“No, Nino was the one who started the fight,” Sakurai argued.
“Matsumoto's the one who said he didn’t need Nino anymore.” Aiba hit the table with his fist.
“But that doesn't change the fact that Nino should apologize,” Sakurai replied.
“You and your friend are a bunch of ASSHOLES” He yelled, getting the attention of everyone in the restaurant. He stood up, passing the people angrily to the door. 'Why should Nino apologize? Jun isn’t the only one who is suffering.' He thought to himself. Just when the breathless Sakurai caught up with him.
“Ok, I get it. We will not force any of them to apologize to each other, but we have to do something about it...” Sakurai said. Aiba freed himself from his grip.
“Like what?” He asked angrily, not looking at him.
“I don’t know, but I'm sure I'm going to need you help in that.” He replied.
“If it's for Nino's own good, then I’ll help you.” Aiba approved, Sakurai smiled widely at him.
“We have to continue our date first,"

When they finished their - supposedly romantic - date, Sakurai took Aiba to his place to figure out a way to get the Matsumiya pair back together.
Aiba sat on the couch, while Sakurai brought them two cans of beer, he placed them on the table in front of them then he sat opposite Aiba.
“So? How are we gonna do it?” Aiba asked curiously.
“Actually, I have a plan,” Sakurai starts. “If we ask them to meet each other, they will reject, so we'll have to make them believe that they met by coincidence,” He said.
“And how are we going to do that?” Aiba asked again getting him a naughty smirk from Sakurai in turn.
“We will ask them to come to the same place at the same time, you will ask Nino, I’ll ask Jun. And of course, we won't be going there me and you. When they meet each other there, they'll have to talk,” Sakurai said.
“I don’t think it will work, they will get into another fight,” Aiba said.
“We will have to make them meet in a closed place then, like in a private room in a restaurant,” Sakurai explained. “We won't know until we try”.
Aiba thought the plan was legit enough so he agreed on it, after they sat a place and a time, they exchanged phone numbers and Aiba excused himself to leave. However, when he was by the doorway and ready to leave, Sakurai took a grip on his elbow and turned him around to place a quick, gentle kiss on his lips. “Good night,” He whispered, very close to his ear.
Aiba gave him a punch in his stomach and ran away, his face was bright red.
~ Next day ~
As the Sakuraiba pair promised, they met in a place near the restaurant the Matsumiya pair should go to. Both of them told their friends to meet them at the restaurant to get lunch.
They were hiding behind a tree, training their eyes on the restaurant's entrance. When it was time for them to meet, target No.1 came and entered, it was Matsumoto. As excepted from him, he will not make his friend wait. Just after 10 minutes later, target No.2, Ninomiya, entered the restaurant happily.
All Aiba and Sho could do is high five each other and jump in happiness. But a few seconds later, Nino walked out of the restaurant angrily, dropping the happy smiles off their faces.
“What is he doing!” Aiba complained.
“Call him, quick!” Sho asked him.
Aiba called Nino and waited until he picked up. “Hello Nino, where are you? You are late!” Aiba said.
“Jun is there, I am not going!” He yelled at the phone.
“What?” Aiba tried his best to look surprised “Did you meet him?” He asked.
“No! I just saw him and getting out from the bathroom, then I quickly rushed out. Anyway, I am not coming, don’t wait for me.” Then he ended the call.
“How was it?” Sho asked.
“Not good, he didn’t even meet him...” Aiba said in disappointment.
“Shit! I have to meet Jun now so he won't be angry. I'll see you later.” He said, waving Aiba goodbye.
Aiba went back to college since he still had a class to attend. He couldn't pay attention in class, he was lost in thoughts, what should he do so Nino will get back to Jun. It’s not like Nino is bothering him, but because he didn't want to see him sad again. He was acting oddly since back then. He even didn't play with his 3DS nor Wii anymore and he always seemed lost staring into the distance.
When his class was dismissed, he approached a crowd wondering about what's going on. He asked one of his classmate about it and his answer was:
“A group of students is stuck in the chemistry lab, and they're trying to get them out.” He said.
“Stuck?” He repeated, then, a great idea popped into his head “YES! I found it!” He said enthusiastically.
He quickly called Sakurai and it didn’t take him much time to pick up “Sho! I found it!” Aiba said. Sakurai’s heart went into a frenzy just from hearing Aiba calling him by his first name for the first time ever, He was rendered speechless. “Go and take Jun to his place and make sure he is in his bedroom, don’t let him go anywhere! I am coming now.”
“O-ok,” Sakurai said, he didn't pay attention to what Aiba was saying as he was distracted by Aiba calling him by his first name. 'Kawai…' Sho thought. Aiba ended the call and he called Nino right after.
“What?” Nino answered lazily.
“NINO! MATSUMOTO IS- OMG NO, HE IS DYING! I AM AT HIS PLACE WITH SHO-KUN AND OMG NO I DON’T WANT TO WITNESS SOMEBODY DYING IN FRONT OF ME!! SHO, DO SOMETHING!! SAVE HIM, PLEASE!” He screamed frantically before he ended the call and ran as fast as his legs could take him to Jun’s place where Sho was waiting for him.
Nino was still recovering from his shock, he didn’t believe what Aiba said just now, he threw his phone somewhere and rushed out to his ex-lover's place, praying nothing would happen to him.
Please, Jun, don’t leave me.

Aiba reached Jun’s place in a record time and as he instructed, Jun was in his room. Aiba dragged Sho outside of the room and asked him to be ready when Nino comes in.
After few minutes, they heard the door opening violently and a crying Nino stormed into the apartment screaming. “JUN!” Aiba guided him into the room before he pushed him inside and locked the door.
“YEAH!” He jumped in happiness high fiving Sho. “All we have to do now is to leave them inside for a couple of hours,” Aiba said.
“Then, how about dinner? We will unlock the door by then.” Sho suggests. Aiba smirks.
“Then, I’ll cook us dinner as a pre-celebration for our victory,” Aiba agreed.
They left the apartment, leaving Matsumiya stuck in the room. They went to a grocery to get what they needed to make dinner. After that, they went back to Aiba’s place.
Aiba went to the kitchen and started preparing, he will be making pasta. Sho offered to help him, but Aiba refused and asked him to sit and wait in the living room.
When he finished, he took the dish to the small table in the living room and they both started digging into their dishes. The atmosphere was awkward between them, they didn’t know how should they start a conversation or what should they talk about now that the problem was over. They finished their dinner in silences. After that, Aiba took the dishes and put them in the sink. Finally, he went back and sat beside Sho, handing him a can of beer.
“I wonder what are they doing right now...” Aiba said, taking a sip from his beer.
“I believe they're making up by now,” He replied, opening his can. Then, they fall into another silence. But this time, it wasn't as awkward. Feeling the heat emitting from their bodies was good enough.
Sho came closer to Aiba, he cupped his chin gently and made him face him. “Aiba-kun,” He called him softly. He was ready to kiss him, but he stopped midway and pull away. Aiba looked down in embarrassment.
“I am not forcing you, but you need to give me your answer,” Sho said.
“I…” Aiba took a deep breath. “At first, I thought you were really annoying and I couldn't stand being in the same room with you. But yesterday, I discovered a new side of you and when I thought about how you planned all this date for me, I was touched. I realized you really do love me, right?” He asked him.
“I’ve completely fallen in love with you. I was made sure of my feelings about you yesterday as well. when I saw you smiling, I wanted to be with you forever.” Sho replied, “But, how about you?” Aiba smiled.
“I don’t know...” He said “I don’t know if what I'm feeling is love. But my heart beats faster every time I'm next to you. So, I wanna give it a go.” He purposed. “I wanna try dating you, because I feel- I think I will like that.” Sho looked at him surprisingly.
He got nearer to his face again, their noses touching. “Are we officially a couple now?” He asked. Aiba nods his head in agreement and smiles brightly.
Sho gives him a soft, genuine kiss on the lips before he stared deeply into his eyes. “You aren’t honest with yourself, either." He said.
Sho pushed Aiba gently on the couch and climbed on top of him, kissing him passionately. Aiba shoved his fingers through Sho’s hair, deepening the kiss.

“JUN!” Nino entered the bedroom finding Jun lying on his bed, he jumped on the bed in an instant looking at jun.
“What are you doing?” He asked, surprised to see Nino. Nino only hugs him tightly.
“God, I was so scared, I thought you will leave me!” Nino cried out. Jun broke the hug, looking at him in confusion.
“What happened? Why are you here?” Jun asked.
“Eh? Weren't you about to die?” He looked at him dumbly for a moment before he realized belatedly. “AIBA!” He rushed to the door trying to open it but to no avail. It was locked.
“Eh? It’s locked...” Nino said.
“What? How is that possible, it was open just now...” Jun tried to open it to make sure of it, but it was true “Huh?”
“AIBA! This is not funny, open the door this instant!” Nino yelled and knocked on the door.
“SHO! Open this fucking door right now or you're a dead meat!” Jun kicked and hit the door with his fist and feet.
When they got no respond in return, Jun went back to lay on his bed and exhaled a long breath, while Nino sat on the ground and rest his back on the door. “Why did you come?” Jun said. Nino laughed humorlessly.
“Aiba said something- about you dying... so I rushed to here,” He said looking down at a certain spot on the carpeted floor. “I genuinely thought you will die- and I’ll lose you again, but this time, forever...”. He laughed bitterly. “After all, I don't think that I am not ready to lose you yet.” A few tears fell down, wetting his cheeks but he wiped them immediately.
“Kazu..”
“I’m not gonna cry, I’m not a cry-baby...” Nino said, trying his best to show Jun how strong he is.
“Do you really love me that much, Kazu?” Jun asked softly.
“Why would I come here if I didn't love you. Of course I do,” He admitted. “I’m sorry, I was being selfish when I asked you to stop hanging out with your friend,” He apologized. “I was jealous because you spent a lot of time with them and I was angry at that time we fought so I wasn't thinking straight,” He said honestly. Jun looked at him in pity. “ But, you don’t need me anymore, so I’ll leave as soon as those two idiots open door..."
Jun got closer to Nino and kneeled right before him. He then hugged him tightly. “I’m sorry too, I didn’t take good care of you.” He whispered into his ear.
“You don't hate me?” He sobs.
“No, I don't. I love you, I love you so much that I have been thinking only of you the whole week...” He said.
“You really do?” He asked him again. Jun broke the hug and looked into Nino’s eyes before he kissed him deeply. They shared lots of kisses during their time together, but none of them were like this one. It was full of unspoken emotions. He broke the kiss to allow Nino to catch his breath before he attacked him again, securing his arms around his lover's slim waist tightly and bringing him closer, kissing him again deeply, intensely.

Aiba woke up to find himself in his own bed, but he wasn’t alone, Sakurai was staring at him. “Good morning, sweetie.” He said, giving him a quick kiss on his forehead. Aiba smiled shyly.
“Morning” He breathed and sat down on the bed, rubbing his eyes before he laid down again ready to go back to sleep.
“You’re not gonna sleep on me again!” Sho tickled Aiba forcing him to wake up.
“Ok, I won't go back to sleep, stop!” He laughed.
He rolled on the bed before he sat up again facing Sho this time. “I feel like I have forgotten something...” Aiba tried his best to remember, but for the life of him, he couldn't remember what it was.
“AH!” Sho screamed. “Jun and Nino!” He said.
“AH! How come I forgot about them!”
Sho jumped from the bed and wore his clothes quickly, followed by Aiba who tried to stand up but fell face first onto Sho’s well-built chest. “Be careful, It’s your first time after all...” Sho advised him.
“It’s your fault, you weren't gentle!” Aiba complained.
“Because you didn’t tell me it was your first time until we were finished! at least I didn’t break your legs...” He said. “Anyway, be careful, we have to hurry back and check on them.”
“What if they died out of hunger?” Aiba started to worry. “What if they killed each other! Oh my God!!” He gasped.
“I am sure none of that happened. Come on, hurry up!”
Sakuraiba pair rushed to Jun’s apartment, they opened the door slowly, peeking inside. The couldn't hear any voices coming from the room. Aiba gasped, Sho walked slowly to the room and opened the door.
There they were, in their birthday suits, hugging each other on the bed and sleeping soundly. They smiled warmly at them before Sho closed the door silently, leaving them to enjoy their moment alone.
“Thanks God, they are finally back together,” Aiba said, Sho nodded. They looked at each other and giggled.
~ One month later ~
Sho and Aiba were in the park waiting for Jun and Nino to come. They planned on going on a double date.
“They are late...” Sho said looking at his watch for the nth time that day.
“You don’t have to be that precise, they will come eventually, just wait,” Aiba said.
“We will be late, the movie starts at 11:00 and it’s already 10:45 now,” He complained.
After few minutes, Jun and Nino arrived, Nino waving for Aiba. “Aiba-chan!” He called him.
“You are late!” Sho scolded. “Hurry up, let’s go!”
“It’s all Nino’s fault! He wasn't satisfied from one round this morning,” Jun sighed.
“But still, the movie hasn't started yet, so let's go!” Nino said, holding on Jun’s arms, and pulling him ahead.
Aiba looked at them with a smile on his face. He felt a warm hand holding his and a hot breath on his ear. “Let’s go, Masaki,” Sho whispered lovingly and Aiba nodded his agreement following the younger pair ahead of them.
This happiness, I hope it would last forever.
