White day.
Ohno quickly woke up as his alarm shouted from bedside. H shut it off and slightly ran to the toilet. A few minutes later, he was out fresh. He took out his cloth from the cupboard. He smelled it. Fresh and nice. He smiled. He put it on and a pant. Combed his hair. Put a little perfume, just to make sure him won’t smell bad. Alright. Ready.
He took a small box wrapped in red paper. He stared at it. He took a deep breath. He ran to the living room. Passing through the kitchen, he thinks that it might be better if he drinks first. After taking a glass of cold water from the refrigerator, he walked fast to the door.
As he opened the door, Nino appeared. Both of them were shocked.
“You’re going somewhere?” Nino asked. He stared Ohno up and down.
“What are you doing here?” Ohno asked him back.
“Why? Can’t I? You would never go out with me, so I come over.” Nino questioned his Riida.
“At least call me first,” he replied. Nino entered the house.
“Where are you going?”
“I kind of tired standing outside, waiting for you to open the door.” Nino sat on the sofa.
“You rang the bell? When? I didn’t hear anything,” Ohno said. Nino realized there was something in Ohno’s hand.
“What is that?” He went to Ohno and grabbed the little box. He smirked.
“Give it back,” Ohno half-shouted, tried to take the box back. Nino ducked, taking the little present away with him.
“Tell me what this is. I won’t give it to you if you don’t tell me.” He shakes the box while brought it to his ear. Ohno shouted ‘careful!’, making Nino laughed out loud.
“Okay. I tell you.” Ohno gave up. He afraid that Nino would break the present. “There’s a girl. She always gave me present on Valentine’s Day. And - it’s been three years - ”
“Three years?” Nino’s face changed a bit. “ - but, you never tell me before.”
“I know. I just - well, it’s ridiculous - ”
“What’s ridiculous?” Jun appeared from the door, followed by Sho. Aiba entered a few minutes later.
“Wow, Riida! You looked different. Going out for a date?” Aiba shouted from the door, running to him on the sofa. Jun looked at Nino. As their eyes met, Nino turned his away.
“Yeah,” Nino replied. His three friends were shocked.
“Ohno-san - ” Sho couldn’t manage to finish his words.
“Riida - ” Even Aiba was speechless. Jun caught the small wrapped box in Nino’s hands.
“Well, I guess it’s White Day.” Every eyes fall on Jun.
“White Day?” Aiba seemed didn’t understand.
“White Day, Aiba-chan, is a day where guys gave presents to their girls on 14 March, a month after the Valentine’s Day.” Aiba nodded.
“Ah, today is 14 March. Today is White Day!” He shouted excitedly. “Oh-chan, who’s the girl? Let me know.” He held Ohno’s hand. Nino pulled Aiba away. He gave the box back to Ohno.
“You might be late.” He tried to give the best smile. Ohno took the box and made his way to the door. At the door, he stopped and looked back at his beloved friends before leaving.
Jun turned to Nino. Before he could say a word, Nino moved to the kitchen. Aiba and Sho switched on the television. Jun followed Nino to the kitchen. He followed Nino everywhere he went. To the refrigerator, to the dining table, even to the sink.
“Jun, stop following me.”
“Not until you tell me what is going on,” Jun replied.
“Nothing happen. He went to see a girl. She’d been given him present on Valentine’s Day. For three years already. I don’t even know it.” His voiced lowered for the last sentence.
“Then, you just let him go?” Nino silent.

Ohno went to the place where the girl had given him Valentine’s Day present. He held the present close to his body. The girl was nowhere. He stood by the road, waiting for the girl to come. About 15minutes waiting, the girl appeared. She came from the same roadside where Ohno waiting for her and crossed to the other side of the road. She didn’t realize that Ohno was there. As she already on the other roadside, Ohno saw her. He was about to call her when there was another person calling for her. He saw a guy came from opposite way where she was standing. She smiled as she saw him. They looked very happy together. Ohno kept watching them. As they reached each other, the girl took out something from her bag. A small box wrapped in red paper, just like the one Ohno’s holding. She gave it to him. The guy seemed to be so surprised for the present. They giggled. Ohno smiled a bit. He looked at his present, and hid it behind his jacket. As he looked back to the girl, their eyes
met. The girl bowed to Ohno. In surprised, Ohno bowed too. Then, he made his way back home. His friends might laugh at him for what had happened.

Ohno slowly pushed the door opened. He saw Aiba and Sho fall asleep next to each other on the sofa. Nino and Jun were nowhere. He stepped slowly, afraid he would disturb Aiba and Sho, to the kitchen. In the kitchen, his eyes caught Nino and Jun, giggling while cooking.
“Oh-chan!”
“You came back early,” Jun said. Ohno smiled.
“I’m hungry. Anything to eat?” He took a glass of water. He tried to change the topic.
“You haven’t eaten anything after two hours dating?” asked Jun. Nino kept silent, resting his back to the cabinet.
“I didn’t go anywhere.” The words pulled Nino closer.
“Means?”
“Did you see the girl?” Nino spoken after a while.
“I’m hungry.” Nino asked Jun to wake Aiba and Sho up. He put the dishes on the table. Ohno helped him. He put his present on the cabinet.
“This - ?”
“You can have it,” Ohno said while taking the necessary things for them to eat to the dining table. Nino smiled. Jun who just entered the kitchen could see his happy face. As their eyes met, Nino turned around, hiding his happy feeling.
“It’s written on your head ‘I’m happy’,” Jun whispered, teasing his cheerful reaction.
“You want to eat or not?” Aiba shouted from the table. He seemed couldn’t wait anymore. Both of them walked to the table where everyone was waiting so that they could eat together. Nino glanced at Ohno happily.
