Even More about Singing Section - How to Record/Film
Hello, Singing participants! ^-^
As we are about a week away from the deadline, we wanted to answer some frequently asked questions regarding the singing section here.
First of all, thank you all for your interest and participation in this project. 🙇♀️
We appreciate your taking the time to learn the new lyrics and record yourself. It takes courage to do it! Plus, this song is not easy to sing, especially if Japanese/English is not a language you're fluent/native in. So, thank you for choosing the Singing Section! 🎤
Although we do have color-coded groups/parts in the lyrics we've sent you all, you can choose to sing whatever part you can. There is rapping/fast singing in this song, so please do your best. You do not need to sing the whole song. Just let us know which parts you do sing, so we can note that for editing 😊 Okay, enough of paragraphs, now to the list:
FAQ - Singing
1. Do I need to sing the whole song? ( I had to put this, bc it's probably the most frequently asked question 😝)
- No! You can sing the Japanese lyrics or the English lyrics. Group 1 or Group 3. Group 2 & Group 3. Just let us know which one you choose.
2. What do you mean by record separately?
- As there are certain parts where the lyric/note is held longer, while the next line is sung, we ask you to record the Groups/parts separately. With that said, your separate recordings should each still be about 6 minutes long with empty areas for when you don't sing.
3. If I choose to do a video/image, can I wear a mask?
- Yes! You can totally wear a mask. Whether you're shy or private, we understand :) We do encourage a visual with your audio, just so we can show Arashi their fans. They couldn't see us in the stands for ARAFES2020, but we hope we can show them a couple of our faces in this video :3
4. For video, should I be lip-syncing or should I be actually singing in the video?
- It depends. If you're able to film in a quiet area, you are more than welcome to actually sing in your video. If you are filming outside (to show off a bit of your country 😉), we recommend lip-syncing to your audio instead.
5. If I choose to lip-sync, do I have to sync the audio and video up together?
- No, you do not have to, but if you can, we'd really appreciate it!
6. Can I send audio only?
- Yes, you can! But if possible, we'd love it, if you could at least send a photo (with or w/o a mask). Like we said before, we want to show Arashi their fans in this video. On SNS, they see our words, but through this video, we hope we can give them a visual representation of their fans, especially how diverse their fans are <3
