...we can now post something worth posting.
In the time between my last post and this one (which is quite a while I know..), a lot has happened! And all of it good!
First off, last Tuesday I put in a few applications for a few jobs and got a hair cut. It was HOT out and I was feeling really cranky and crampy that day too.. I was not in the mood to be sending applications to places that have crappy management and crappy hours and crappy pay. Suffice to say, I was feeling really crappy.
The NEXT DAY I got a call from the arts and crafts store "Michael's", from a supervisor named Greg. I was called in for an interview for Friday. Greg asked me the most unlikely question I never thought to hear from a possible job. He asked me if I wanted to FRAME!! Now, I've framed before, but it was for under the table pay from my mother's friend's framing shop and I was only an assistant to her. I am a little nervous with working with customers but I think this will be really good for me. Whatchya'll think?
I went in for the interview and they liked all my strong points. I have perfect availability for one, a love of art for another, went to art college for a bit for another and finally, have had previous framing experience! My only problems really are.. well... my heavy cycle every month and... the lack of a car. I may have to take the bus. Greg said he was "spooked" by the idea of faulty transportation, but if we can get my car fixed in a good amount of time, things will be fine! Now for the bad part of this... there are only TWO positions available and there are THREE possible applicants, myself included! This area is one of the most popular areas for art in this side of the nation because of the art college right in the middle of my city! If I don't get the job, I won't be surprised for one thing, art college students, and I will be surprised for another thing, my experience beats all doesn't it?!
Secondly! When I called my mom to tell her the news that I might be getting a possible job in framing, she surprised me with something a little different, but just as exciting! See, for a while here, we've been searching around for a female shi-tsu to breed with my male shi-tsu, Barney. Recently, my mom was having a garage sale and this lady who checked out the sale had with her, a female shi-tsu of all things! The two dogs played around together, sniffed each other, nuzzled each other, and all around had a good time for the little time that they had briefly met each other. In short, it's love at first sight! So my mom got to talking with the lady who owns Rosebud (the female shi-tsu) and they decided that Barney should go "see" Rosebud in a few weeks!
Rosebud... that's so romantic. I should draw a furry picture of Rosebud and Barney in a cute romantic scene. Super deformed even! Awwwwwwww!!
If this still does not make sense to you...
I GET TO HAVE ONE OF THE SHI-TSU PUPPIES!!!!
Since I'm in an apartment complex that doesn't allow dogs, my mom is going to hold onto him for me until Mark graduates from college this coming semester. At that time we're going to get a nicer apartment complex that allows all sorts of animals!! I don't know what to name the pup... I've been wrackin my brain for a while. Barney, is the name/concept I want to name my puppy "after" (duh), so I've thought up some interesting choices. I hope someone else out there has some other ideas, as these are all so stupid.......
1. "Bam Bam" after Barney Rubble on the Flinstones
2. "Baby Bop" after Barney the idiot dinosaur show.....
3. Whatever the other idiot dinosaur was named. The yellow triceratops?
4. "Rolf" was what Barney was originally going to be named after. Rolf is the dog from The Muppet Show. I say, originally, because then my brother, 4 years old at the time, decided to interfere. So maybe giving his son his "alleged' name of Rolf would be a nice change for the better?
5: "Ewok" or "Endor" because dad always says that shi-tsu puppies look like Ewoks from Star Wars. Hey, I kinda like Endor!!. :)
6. I don't have a number 6... why'd I write a number 6? Uhm... lemme think of a name for 6...................... How bout "Mop" or "Mopsie" cause shi-tsus look like mops when they sprawl themselves in the middle of the kitchen floor. :D
Last, but not least, onto good news number three!!
Arby's is eating rats! And he shed and he's pretty! And... well that's it. Oh wait, no. I am going to attempt to switch from live prey to pre-killed frozen/thawed prey for three things. It's more humane to the rat, Arby's won't get hurt and Mark will keep his sanity over the idea of feeding my snake "cute", "little", "loving", "intelligent"....etc...on and on and on..... rats.
LOL
Okay I'm done. Wow, long post, and it's after 11 so it must be history... ;)
But hey! It's all GOOD news at least!! :D Now I must all annoy you will a morbid-funny song! Anxious? Why am I anxious about all this? Don't worry, it's not anxiety-type anxious, just... IMPATIENCE!! I want that job and I want a puppy!!!
