After the meeting had adjourned, Meng had gone back to her room. Zuko's advice on people buddying up had stuck in her mind. She'd considered going back to Mel and taking the older girl up on her offer of being roommates, but now with Harth around Meng decided it was best not for her to intrude.
A knock on the door interrupted Meng's thoughts and she went to it, pulling over a small stool that she'd found so she could look out the peephole. Meng had loved the peephole from the minute she'd first moved into this apartment; she wished she'd had something like this when she lived with Aunt Wu.
The two other girls close to her age were standing outside the door. Meng hopped off the stool and opened the door, allowing them to come in. "Hi," she greeted them. "What can I do for you?"
The black-haired girl, who Meng remembered as Hotaru from the first meeting, spoke. "Molly and I were talking," she said "about the meeting earlier. And about us needing to partner up and suff like that."
"And we thought we'd ask you if you wanted to room with us!" chirped the brown-haired girl with the hat; Molly, Meng assumed. She hadn't seen her at the meeting Harper had called, and guessed that she had been a new arrival. When Meng didn't answer right away, Molly added, "Y'know, since we're all around the same age and everything."
"That- that'd be nice," Meng replied. "Um, where would we be living at? Whose room?"
The trio was silent as they tried to figure this newest problem out. Finally Hotaru suggested, "Why not my apartment? It's relatively close to the group room, for when we need to get supplies."
"And Mr. Spoon's on that floor too." Molly likes Spoon. And Harper. They remind her a little of her friends. Harper in particular reminds her of Chase.
Meng nodded. "Okay, that makes sense." She smiled at her two new flatmates. "Let's do it."
