dream

The librarian was chasing me through campus. She had caught me trying to engage the rocket on the top floor of the library and a quick look reminded her of the thousands of American dollars I owe for overdue books. So I book it and start running through the quad. She's hot on my tail when we bust into the commuter caf where they're serving

"FREE MUFFINS!"

The librarian's pupils turn into little zeros with dollar symbols next to them. This bitch loves free stuff. She looks at me, and apparently only able to remember one sum of money at any given time, has completely forgotten about my ridiculous debt. So I slip out with intentions of heading back to the library. Perfect opportunity to clear my record and steal the ship on top of the library. But as I get outside I see thick black smoke billowing from within a cluster of concrete. I book it down the path to find people running from the library, which is licking the sky with humongous dancing flames.

The screaming is awful, ten times worse than the smell of singed flesh, both radiating from the building. A small crowd stands with me about two hundred yards from the burning, including a grey-haired worried looking professor (who may or may not have been Oscar Bluth from Arrested Development), and a few faceless but well-formed co-eds. Then with a handy pair of ecto-sensitive binoculars I see streaming from the building, hundreds of bright blue ghosts. Of these, about half have giant scythes and are haplessly lopping the heads off of terrified, confused students. They're floating my way so I fucking book it.

Then I'm riding a large rubber duck in my apartment while I argue with Jess and Sarah about piles of stuff.

This is certainly a vacation from the types of dreams I've mostly been having lately, which have been filled to the brim with shit I've been pushing out of my head all day. A nice calm fiery killer-ghost adventure dream.
