Yep it's official, you have experienced what is called a "shitty christmas" according to all the rules and conventions governing such things. Sadly there is no trophy or similar award for such an occasion but you WILL get all the completely useless sage advice you can handle. Things like, "It'll get better" and "This too shall pass." In the end though all that matters is you're alive and okay, so despite the shitty aspects you can chalk this holiday season up as a partial victory if nothing else. Given your description of your 'adventure' I'd say that's a pretty good deal all things being equal.

I made out alright in my Holiday takings. New PSP and some games for it (said device is now full to the brim with Naruto Shippuden and Gundam 00 Episodes though), Assassins Creed for the 360, assorted movies including my missing Season 5 of SG:1 to complete that collection, clothes, more candy than I care to imagine, cash (yay) and some ITunes cards. I stuck a flag in the pile and declared victory over Santa in the name of me. Of course it was a Pirate flag...but it was all I had on hand.

There's no trophy? Dammit.

Agreed on the partial victory business, though. As I commented elsewhere, this could have gone a great deal worse. I'm glad to have come home in one piece.

Jeebus, you did win Christmas, though! Yay on the games and such --my brother brought his Wii with him from California and that was an interesting experience for sure. I envy you the anime --there hasn't been time for any so far this break. ITunes cards are excellent things, as well. ^^

The pirate flag was entirely appropriate. Spade is a spade is a spade. :D
