I'm really trying not to be paranoid, but it's kinda hard when I see something like this
http://motherjones.com/mojo/2011/03/wisconsin-walker-union-republican-senate-budget-bill to believe that there isn't a conspiratorial organization of old rich white guys bent on sapping all the money in the world for themselves. Really. I don't want Ubisoft to be right. But really, you do shit like this and this
http://jackdean.posterous.com/must-see-chart-this-is-what-class-war-looks-l and ... really there are very few other conclusions I can draw.
Despite the fact that MSN is significantly more rational and less biased than FOX I stay away from both of them. That said, I was linked Maddow's discussion on this. Her take on it was not so much that rich people are taking over the world but that the GOP is trying to damage groups that don't vote for them and make it more difficult for them to vote or behave politically in general.
But while her take on it is less insidious then mine it's still a conspiracy. And as conspiracy theories go ... these aren't that outlandish. And frankly, that's what's creepy. If I say there's a conspiracy afoot you should first ask me why I chose to use the word "afoot" and then assume I'm crazy. But see ... you can't do that here. Well ... you can, but you'd be ill-advised.
See? This is bad. Conspiring to remove the rights of those who have less voice but do more work is bad. Grrrr.
