I went to a butler cafe by myself. It felt like I was the heiress of some estate, drinking tea and eating fancy desserts. I had creme brulee for the first time, but it wasn't that great. (Saia, why do you like it so much?) There were 3 desserts in the set that I ordered: creme brule, a crepe with whipped sweet cheese and a fruit glaze inside, and cinnamon ice cream. The crepe with cheese, although it sounds horrible, was really really good, and tasted a bit like very light cheesecake. Yum. It had some kind of glazed plums on the side which were sooo yummy. The waiter guy tried to speak to me in English a few times and gave me an English menu. It was pretty cute.

I also have to quote some Hetalia for my non-anime watching friends, because it's hilarious. People who know about Hetalia already/don't care about anime don't have to read further. :)
Each character in Hetalia is the personification of a country. There's a Japan character, a France character, etc. The awesome thing about this anime is that it makes fun of all the countries. I love the stereotypes that are made fun of. Satire is great. The America character so far comes off so far as cheery and friendly. France is stuck up, has longish blond hair, and always wears white, while Italy is a happy-go-lucky skirt-chaser.

Here's a sample of the dialogue. In this part all the countries are at a world summit, trying to solve the world's problems.

Japan: I agree with America...
Switzerland: There you go again, Japan! Give your own opinions! [Ha, Japan is an American fanboy]
England (drinking tea): I oppose. How could I agree with something so illogical? [Of course, England thinks America's plans are silly]
France (talking in front of a flowered background): Well, I'll just oppose both America and England. [France being stuck up, so true]
England: Just which one is it?!
America (poking France in the head with a pen): Geez, is it your hobby to disagree with me or something?
France: Neither of you have any good sense anyway.
America: Why don't you find a better hobby?
France: I'm gentlemanly, unlike the two of you.
England: Quit making important decisions with that kind of logic, you wine-freak!

Anyway, I laugh so hard at the episodes, I had to share. There's also parts where they retell history, so one is of WWI. In this part, Germany has captured Italy.

Germany: I was successful in capturing Italy, but... all he does is sing, laugh, and make strange noises sometimes. He seems to have no intention of escaping at all. Hey, don't you want to escape?
Italy: Why would I? After all, I get food here, and I don't have to fight. I really like this place.
Germany: No!! If you call yourself a soldier, you must always put your best effort into escaping, even while spears, fire, and Frenchmen fly through the air!
[cut to Italy relaxing]
Germany: Hey, are you listening?! Put yourself in my shoes! Monitoring you is way too boring!
[opens the prison door]
Germany: See, look here! The door to the cell is open. Don't you have to escape?
[Italy glides out the door. You can only see Germany and the door, and then you hear Italy's voice]
Italy: You girls are cute! Where are you headed? I see. [camera pans to Italy chatting up 3 girls] Do you like pasta? You do?

I'd say the anime is on par with Blackadder's WWI series in terms of humor. Once again, I love satire.
