finally updating
so i tried updating this earlier and much to my disappointment it CRASHED!!!! so then i was far too frustrated to rewrite the whole thing... but seeing as how i'm back on the computer i'll give it another shot... so i believe the last i updated was Feb. 1st! let's see i'll make a list of major events...
- I had my solo piano recital on the 5th which went really well... i wore a beautiful dress and played lots of music and got LOTS of flowers... like over 70 roses and that wasn't even everything... hehe! and then i had a party back here at my house which was really fun... it was a nice night
- i have had play practice every freaking day... sometimes i love it, sometimes i hate it... but overall good times
- i turned 18!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
- i went on my first official date with my amazing boyfriend Jacob Benjamin Pratt. hehe. he took me out to Olive Garden (which was really yummy) and then we went ice skating out at Forest Park which was really fun! they had a live band playing 60's music and all and it was a beautiful night to be outside... i loved every moment of it! thanks Jakes!!! you're the best!
- we had our Troy show choir competition... it was a fun day... we didn't do too well w/ our show, but Tabi... wehadlotsalotsafunrighto?
- I got kind of sick and lost my voice for 5 DAYS!!!! (just got it back today!!!)
- I had my SLU interview. AAAAH! it went really well i think, but it was a stressful time for me. the financial reality was basically shoved in my face all week and i really really need/want this scholarship... so i had some tears, stress, and worries... but thanks to my cool friends and bf i am feeling more calm about it now and I know God will take care of it... (stillllll.... I HOPE I GET IT!!!!)
- today we had our final dress rehearsal for pirates!
So that means that tomorrow is our first show!!! wheeeee!!! i can't wait... it is going to be soooo good. it's all just so funny and everyone's worked so hard and it's finally pulling together. so the next five days we have performances which means i'll be busy, but i'm excited. i'm glad i did the play. it's one of those thing's that everyone should do at least once in their life... so i guess i'll break a leg!!!
I guess the rest of life is going well... i mean, i am a happy girl for the mostpart. i wish i could see jacob and my friends a lot more than i have time too. but when i am with them i am happy. like on sunday at laumier... gooood times! so i am looking forward to my life calming down a little. um other than that, God stuff is going alright. i actually finally spent a significant amount of time in the Word today which i REALLY needed... so that was good. it amazes me how faithful God is even when i am a complete jerk. i guess right now i just feel so incapable of even keeping my own life together right now that it's like a big eye opener to how weak and helpless i am and how dependent upon God i am. i think my favorite verse right now is this one is Psalms that says "My heart and my flesh fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." so yeah... i'm kind of drained... but i'm pulling through and i don't know... it's a lot like this song i'm listening to right now. not that i am like emotionally bleeding. just more of wow God is my hope and He is good ALWAYS.
