Time for a geeky, biology-fangirl moment

Today I sent an accepted paper to the typesetter, which is not unusual, because I do it pretty much every day. What amused me was that one of the authors of the paper is Henry J Leese, who was one of our professors at York. Leese, wasn't he the bloke who gave us entire lectures on stool mass? I think he specialized in reproductive stuff or something.

o_O Thankfully, I don't remember those lectures! He gave lectures on all the reproductive physiology and fertility stuff. And then he did a very good module with Peter Hogarth on human biology.

The human biology one was the one with a section on nutrition. He was always going on about fibre and how we should eat fibre to increase our stool mass. With graphs to proove it. Or at least, that's what stuck.
