Я иногда балуюсь - пишу небольшие истории (слова я так учу))). Вот славная получилась ПРЕДУПРЕЖДЕНИЕ! Она на английском
A Story of one Face-off [Read on]I am a quiet and see-no-evil person unless it comes to my face-offs with neighbours. Especially, with THE NEIGHBOUR. Well, you would never tell that she could be of any harm. She is a crumblie or a septuagenarian (the use of the word would depend on how much she is bothering you at the moment) with a pack of cats living in a minute flat. She says they are 25 in total, give or take 3 kittens. And by the way, she's an ex-opera singer (as for me, ex-opera singers do not exist, as ex-Terminators).
So, she thinks singing is right up her alley and does it whenever she can. The cats seem to love singing as well, so they form a choir hardly anybody could stand. Even though they have their moments when sing some lyric ballads, but that's a rare treat for us. Yesterday, for instance, they cut loose as they were celebrating the Zimbabwe National Flag Day and singing national songs in the national language. I immediately believed that Zimbabwe should belong to the third world countries as no decent developed economy would develop such a horrible language.
I came to their door, I knocked, banged and rang. All in vain. Zimbabwan choir was beyond my reach. So, I decided to wait in ambush as I know they would certainly need some food or drink in a while. Singing Zimbabwan songs requires a lot of effort, you know.
So, a few hours later the door opened and the lady appeared accompanied by some of her cats. So, the skirmish began. I spoke to her quiet politely, but as she was as deaf as a post, I had to shout into one cat's ear. I gathered all my might to clue the poor animal in what my idea of good singing was. And I was successful I would say, as I caught them unawares and they swallowed their tongues for a week.
But the lady filed a lawsuit to the Supreme Court. Quote, This sanctimonious neighbour of mine has inflicted a grievous bodily damage to the best representative of a feline family which resulted in a complete loss of voice. Period! Unquote.
My only hope is that one day they will go on a world tour...
