It was still the fourteenth, dammit!

I just found out yesterday that Java Jazz Festival had put the daily lineup in their site already, and that they're selling limited special show tickets in special price. Tix for the Jason Mraz show is 200thou - and that is a good offer. But -- I just found out yesterday too, that it was the last day for that special offer. Only valid online. Until Janury 14th. I had my laptop with me, but of course I wont do a credit card transaction using a public hotspot! And I couldn't go home early because I went to watch Burn After Reading in senci that evening (pretty hilarious film, btw). So when I got home, at about 8.30-ish, I quickly got online....... to find that the price had rise up almost 50% >:[ While the other special shows were only upped about 12%! And come oooon, it was still the 14!!! Online system is 24 hour, right, not like an office which closes and stops activities at 5 pm! T____T So yeah, I was pretty pissed. Still am. But I've no choice, so yeah, I'm still buying. Buy this first while it's still cheapish, then figure out how to get more money to buy the daily ticket. I guess I'm only going Friday. The Sunday lineup seems to be the most interesting (Anggun! Swing Out Sisters! plus Tompi and Maliq), but Mraz is on Friday so I'm going on Friday!
Oh, and no Tortured Soul again this year :(
I've dl-ed the Tonight leak....... but I think I wont listen to it until the actual release date, which is about one and a half weeks from now (Yes I'm weird like that. And yes I've done that before, with Patrick Wolf's Magic Position). And of course I'll definitely buy the real thing once it hits the record stores here, and possibly every special/repackaged special edition (if there'll be any) that comes after it. I've read many reviews around the net though. It's pretty much divided into love it or hate it. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna love it :p
And American Idol has started again. Damn, that show... no matter how much I hate it & don't want to watch it... I'm always drawn to it week after week. Until about half the finalists are gone, usually, because that's where it starts getting boring hehe. And I was so surprised that they let the bikini girl pass! They probably did that just so she could give Ryan Seacrest a snog.

some late GG (not gossip girl) comments:
As always here's where I say I don't believe in big, flashy award shows, especially the oscars. I prefer award ceremonies in stuff that ends with ---Film Festival. Yep. But I still watch them all anyway for the dresses, redcarpet, & acceptance speeches :p
- KATE! <3 After so many noms I'm glad she finally wins! And wins two! I've always liked Kate Winslet and thinks she's a wonderful actress (especially in Eternal Sunshine). And I really like her speech, especially the second. And yeah, Kate+Leo=Adorable. It was funny/cute how she was like 'oh leo ILY SFM with all my heart! and you, dude next to leo, yeah i love you too.' XD But I'm sure it was just nerves. So thanks to this, when the next evening StarMovies played Titanic, I tried to watch it, hahaha ^^;; I still couldn't watch it in its entirety though. It's just too long! :p
- When Danny Boyle was announced Best Director, i actually cheered outloud and jumped to my feet. He totally deserves recognition. He's probably my favourite director - watched all his films (except Slumdog) and loved it all. And I love this quote from his IMDB bio: "I don't want to make pompous, serious films; I like films that have a kind of vivacity about them. At this time of the year you think about awards and if you want to win one you think you should make serious films, but my instinct is to make vivacious films."
I've been wanting to see Slumdog Millionaire for the simple reason that it is Danny Boyle's film. Now that it got more recognition, more chance to watch it in a local cinema :) (And when is Happy-go-lucky playing in Blitz? Come ooon!!!)
- Freida Pinto was so pretty.
- Zachary Quinto was gorgeous. Chris Pine, not so much. (why??)
- Seth Rogen lost too much weight. It'll be kinda weird now hearing that laugh coming from him.
- I actually thought that Sacha Baron Cohen's joke about Madonna-Guy Ritchie was real funny.

January is half over, OH GOWDDD!!! T__________T I don't want this month to end plsplspls I'm not ready to face February!!! X( (february = th---s a.k.a. the thing you should not mention in front of me for the coming 6 months!)
