I GOT NICK HORNBY's 'A LONG WAY DOWN'!!! finally finally finally! been waiting for the paperback edition for so long, cos i can't afford the big, hard-cover edition :P i had an impromptu dinner with day and tri last friday at citos, and when tri went to the loo, day and i waited for her in aksara. i was actually going to see the magazines, but there it was, the lovely blue book, on the new arrivals table. and only two copies left! at first i kinda hesitated because there's too many expenses lately (and no income!), but i've been oh so wanting to read this book since it came out last year, dammit! :P i'm actually still reading amichi's 'new penguin book of gay short stories', but that'll have to wait for a while now ;P i haven't finished reading it (only up to page 80 now), but that's because i have things to do this weekend. so far i love it. couldn't put it down. ♥
and i got a new jordi notebook, yayay! :D i went to kino last week to look for mecha pencil and a sketch book, but then i was so happy to find new jordi stationaries♥ just in time when my old jordi notebook is almost full and i'm on a jordi withdrawal, hahah. i also bought my mum a miquelrius notebook (when i'm happy i'm generous xD), but i forgot the sketchbook! ^^;
and kino has quite a lot of things i want too :3 the paperback edition of Haruki Murakami's 'kafka on the shore', Ryu Murakami's 'miso soup' (actually i'm kinda scared to read the book - maybe i just wanna read it, not own it), an anthology of short stories written by japanese women writers, that anthology with a long title edited by david sedaris, a travel magazine in a special edition about europe, and the list continues... huhuhuh. damn you bookstores. ♥
on music
i was just discussing with my sister how i miss rialto ('untouchable' is one of my favorite songs ever) - and that afternoon, my dad was flipping channels when i saw untouchable on VH1!!! eeeeeeeee nostalgia!♥
ken hirai has a new cd out!!! oooohlala. it's like a singles collection or something. and it's a local release. i want.
and turns out that arctic monkeys cd is also released locally here. i'm pissed because i bought the australian import just last month, which costs double the price. oh well.
aksara has soulwax. aahhh me want too. but it's so feckin pricey!! no way i'm buying it from there.
on movies
i wanna watch 'munich'. at first i wasn't interested, but then i found out that matthieu kassovitz (sp?) is in it, so i got a bit curious and read some reviews on it... and now i'm quite interested. maybe nomat next monday.
probably soon, i'm gonna kick myself and drag my ass to the cinema to watch... 'mission impossible 3' >___<* ergh. just to see jonny. just_to_see_lovely_jonny. (i really wanna see 'match point' but i doubt it will ever play here)

FINALS! FINALS! FINALS!!! :D actually the game was lousy, and i wasn't too proud of how the boys played, but of course i'm so happy arsenal's going to the final! lehmann was surely the hero - i freaked and changed the channel when villareal was awarded a penalty just minutes before the final whistle, but then when i changed it back (doki-doki!)~ sooooo relieved! so well, yeah, see ya in paris, barca! :P
on idols
i'm glad kellie pickler got voted out, heh :P (mmyes, i do watch that show :P) week after week her bubbly-bouncy attitude with silly one-liners and exclamations just got more and more annoying. and i think her singing is not that good. the top 5 are really well-deserving. i like all five. my favorite is elliott - love his voice ♥
