It's lovely. Really sweet, with a beautiful depiction of their companionship, both Hector's protective nature and Paris's innocent adoration. I don't think what you meant to write could have been better.

Waaay too many mistakes (low blood-sugar so I'm going to have to go for lunch once the sky clears a bit.
