It's snowing in England; well, most of England. Last night we had ice and I wanted to go for a walk. It is a peculiarity of our area that snow comes in two and only two varieties; fluffy and slick ice. I went for a walk quite late and managed a very impressive fall that rattled my brain (I still have a modest lump).
Proving that I can learn, I did not try to continue the walk. Instead I staggered carefully home, watching a car going more slowly than me take three hundred yards to stop on the road. That's how slick the roads were last night. I had a fairly pounding headache and I left a GTalk message warning my housemate that I hit my head and probably wouldn't wake up in the morning.
If you figured out what was wrong with that phrasing? Congratulations, you are officially more social-adept than I am. Also, probably less concussed.
So, instead have shiny distracting links:
New month, new round! Go forth and prompt!
This might be the single most distracting thing I've seen online this month.
If I can ever get
deannawol back to London for a tourist day, we're going
here DRAGON!: I don't watch Merlin for the same reason I don't read Marvel's THOR; I'm entirely too familar with the basic legends and I am a canon-purist when it's most inconvient but this is awesome.
Reasoning with vampires: because this is the only way I can bear to read Twilight.
