The flat is in a nice part of Seattle - one of the hume-dominated areas with the apartment equivalent of white picket fences. Kellen got a working elevator four floors up to find a nice, south-facing studio apartment. He looked out the windows and saw city blocks with cops in white gloves at the junctions. Books, neatly filed in alphabetical order, were arranged neatly on the shelves.
He curls his fingers carefully around the "Mages For Science" mug and shrugs his shoulders uncomfortably. He hates feeling like he's in someone's cross-hairs and he really, really wishes Tan hadn't come down with a sudden case of Nobility and left him to deal with this on his own. Nobility probably had less to do with his decision than KO reminding him that there was a new club opening in the mid-town.
Leaving Kellen siting here, on a practically-real leather seat, wondering how exactly one tells a mage and team-mate that, through no fault of theirs, you're off the market. He leans back just enough to catch the swirl of black lace and groans softly.
