Honestly, I caught it but it's still tangled up in my head with meds and other needed brain-bogglers. I've spent most of the last 24 hours in much pain. Remind me of what Mel Brooks said (the quote you are in fact referring to, as he has dropped many priceless pearls of wisdom from that silly mouth of his)?

Congrats, btw, on the getting married thing and changing careers! I'm still catching up, but it seems to be suiting you well!

I didn't actually use the quote, just made reference to it. "It's good to be the king" as he said in "The History of the World Part I"

And I'm not changing careers so much as going back to what I was doing before going to Iraq and moving to Texas.

And I haven't actually read lj in a couple of days, so I probably missed why you're in such pain. Is there anything I can do to help?

Actually, it was a migraine, so you will find no post on how my brain likes to make me wish for death on an occasional basis, much less a posting made during such a time. Yeah, I guess my brain didn't consciously attribute that particular Brooks quote in reference to King Abdullah II being in Star Trek, though I thought to myself, "Boy, it's nice to be a king" - silly me. I never knew you were in law enforcement before going to Iraq; it's always nice to learn more about someone ( ... )
