Yay Internet!
So, I'm still in Seattle. I've been here for about 2.5 weeks, it's been one of the most boring times in my life. In case any of y'all are wondering, my mom is doing fine. Everything went well, she's recovering faster then they had expected. Let's see, the highlight of being here was when I finally got my parents connected to the internet. That was yesterday. However, I'm leaving on Friday so I don't get to enjoy using it for very long. But, from now on I can access the internet when I come back for visits. To tell you guys how much time I've had on my hands...I've averaged about 1 book for everyday/day-and-a-half.
The really crappy about thing about being here is that I now have no more vocation days. Therefore, I can't get sick. If I do....I still have to go to work. That means I won't be taking any trips until next year.... =( However, I'm sure I can wrangle something if I really need to. I don't think they want me to go nutty at work one day and absolutely lose it one day if I have to wait until the next fiscal year, which is next spring for us.
On a brighter note, I may get my own store to manage this fall. That means....RAISE!! Yay! More money. Which is something that I could definitely use. Especially with the amount of dental work I'm getting done. I talked about this with Laura...and we decided I could be a used car or pay for 3.5 months of rent. Talk about expensive. All right, I need to go find other things to do.
