COMIC-CON 2012

Jul 18, 2012 05:29

Another year, another Comic-Con.

On my way out the door for San Diego, I coincidentally received a package from Michael Golden for a Baroness sketch I commissioned waaaay back in 2007's New York Comic-Con. I never thought I'd get the drawing after all these years, but still happy to finally receive it.

It's always a pleasure to bump into the mighty Jerry Ma of Epic Proportions/Secret Identities.

I also bumped into Bethany, a cosplaying friend from my Kaiju days.

Legend of Korra awesomeness.

If this Hover Board came out when Back To The Future 2 was still in theaters, I would've been a super-psyched kid.

ZARDOZZZZ

I had the pleasure of meeting one of my childhood heroes, Arthur Adams.

I bought a new print of his and took the liberty of coloring it today (using a scan of the original cover as reference). I was compelled to spend the whole day on it since this particular issue was one of the first comics I'd ever read.

Bumped into Andrew WK and had to shoot the shit with him for a bit. He rules.

Bryan Lee O'Malley signing prints from his upcoming book "Seconds".

Vera and Jen signing at the First Second booth.

I drooled over this medal that a fellow con-attendee earned from finishing the Adventure Time scavenger hunt.

And finally… the obligatory con haul photo:
