Shimizu Shota holds online meeting for his legions of fans!
A real-time mixi event was held 7/5 for Shimizu Shota, who is soon releasing his new single, "Goodbye" on 7/7. The event attracted over 120,000 fans!
It was just announced the day before through Shimizu's official mixi blog, as well as his homepage. When the event started at 6 pm, utilizing the "mixi voice" feature, Shimizu's participation created a flood of interest. Fan comments exceeded 1,000, and trying to read all of them became quite a difficult task!
In honor of his new single, "GOODBYE," users were asked to discuss things that they have said goodbye to or that they'd like to. Everything from ex-boyfriends, weak personalities, tests, jobs, clubs, and stomach fat were given.
Popular mixi comments were gathered, and Shimizu Shota commented on them for a vigorous 30 minutes. In total, 380,000 reactions were documented, and those who participated said "I want you to do this again!" and "It was fun!"
Shimizu Shota's 7th single, "GOODBYE" will be released 7/7, and features a duet with American R&B singer JOE, as well as a collaboration with rapper SHUN.
