Well... I guess it's gonna be hard for him to successfully go global if he has no major company supporting him or what. Don't know what he has in mind, hope for him he's got a back-up plan. Good luck in his projects...

He's still listed on Warner Music, so for now I'd say he's independent (as in: not under the management of a label or agency... which has never been Warner anyway) but would still release via Warner.

what is written as independent on his FB is a "Record Label", not agency or whatsoever. regarding he's still listed on warner japan i think that the site perhaps hasn't been updated yet, same as on johnnys-net.jp, he's still listed there as J&A artist...
but who knows, let's see a couple of days or at least until his dvd concert had been released on Apr 02, 2014. if he's still under warner japan after that event, then, that's good for him.

Same set up with all the other Johnny groups and artists under several record labels. It would make sense if both contracts expired at the same time, also seeing how he has released stuff one after the other from last year to fulfill his contract terms.
Well we can just wait and see what happens till the DVD release. Warner solely taking him is possible, but without JE and with Yamapi still with them I really doubt it

Also, it doesn't matter who negotiated with the label, the contract will be between the label and the artist (unless the agency is the sole owner of all respective rights). It could be that Jin got a time-bound contract that would end around the time the J&A contract did, or maybe next year or whenever... or he got one for a specific amount of releases and it depends on how much of the quota he already fulfilled.
idc for Warner, there are better labels for him.
