Kamen Rider OOO’s actor Miura Ryosuke is one of the new cast members announced for the upcoming two-part live action Rurouni Kenshin sequel. He will be playing swordsman, Sawagejo Cho.
The two-part sequel to the 2012 hit live action movie adaptation will be titled Kyoto Taika Hen (The Great Kyoto Fire) and Densetsu no Saigo Hen (The Final Moments of a Legend). It’s based on the Kyoto Arc of the original Kenshin series and will focus on the battle between protagonist Himura Kenshin and antagonist, and fan favorite, Shishio Makoto. The sequels will premiere Summer 2014.

The first of the cast members announced in early July was Fujiwara Tatsuya, best known for his roles in Death Note and Battle Royale, who will be playing Kenshin’s main enemy, Shishio Makoto.
The official RuroKen movie Twitter also officially announced actors Iseya Yusuke and Kamiki Ryunosuke will be playing Shinomori Aoshi and Seta Sojiro respectively.
They will be joined by Oyagi Kaito, who will replace Tanaka Taketo for the role of Myojin Yahiko; Tanaka Min will be playing Kashiwazaki Nenji; Takahashi Maryjun will be playing Komagata Yumi; and Kazufumi Miyazawa will be playing Okubo Toshimichi.
Ito Hirobumi, Japanese prime minister and historical figure who played a crucial role in drafting the Meiji constitution, is added to list of characters to the sequel. He is a new role to the live action movies sequels, and therefore, not part of the original series. He is played by Satomi Hakkenden personal favorite, Ozawa Yukiyoshi.
Sato Takeru, Takei Emi, Aoi Yu, Munetaka Aoki, and Eguchi Yosuke will all reprise their roles as Kenshin, Kaoru, Megumi, Sanosuke, and Saito respectively.
