Weekly Oricon Chart: Albums/Singles/Music-DVDs
Idol group, Morning Musume have reached the top spot in the singles chart with their 53rd single, "Brainstorming / Kimi Sae Ireba Nani mo Iranai". This is their 2nd consecutive no.1 single since "Help me!!" (January this year), and their 13th no.1 single overall. It has been 11 years and 2 months since the group have achieved 2 no.1 singles in a row, from the time of 2nd generation leader, Iida Kaori, with "Mr.Moonlight ~Ai no Big Band~" (October 2001) and "Souda! We're ALIVE" (February 2002). This is the first time for the group to achieve this under 8th generation leader, Michishige Sayumi. This is also their 53rd single to reach the top 10, updating their own record with the most top 10 singles, leaving SMAP at 2nd place with 49 singles. This single is Tanaka Reina's last single, who will graduate from the group on 21st May this year at Nihon Budokan.
In the albums chart, girls unit, E-girls have achieved their 1st no.1 in the Oricon chart since their debut in December 2011 with their 1st album, "Lesson 1". They are the 2nd girl group to have reached the top spot with their 1st album this year after NMB48 with "Teppen Tottande!" (February this year). Born from EXILE's DNA, the unit comprises 3 groups which are Dream, Happiness and Flower. The album consists of their debut single, "Celebration" (peaked at 7th) as well as the highest-ranked singles they have ever achieved which peaked at no.2, "Follow Me" (October 2012) and "THE NEVER ENDING STORY" (February this year), for a total of 14 songs.
Meanwhile, singer Nishino Kana has topped both music-DVD and music-BD charts simultaneously with her live DVD/Blu-Ray, "Kanayan Tour 2012 ~Arena~". The Blu-Ray version sold 5,572 copies, for a DVD+BD total of 26,365 copies. This is the first time she has achieved no.1 in both music-DVD and music-BD charts. The DVD version ranked 2nd in the overall DVD chart and 7th in the overall BD chart. Her previous best ranking was 4th in the DVD chart and 9th in the BD chart with "Kanayan Tour 2011 ~Summer~" (December 2011). The video footage was filmed at Saitama Super Arena last year, on the last day of Nishino's first arena tour.
Note: UVERworld's "UVERworld Documentary The Song" is no.1 in the overall DVD chart with 27k.

Not a fan of E-girls' album but still, congrats to them! Also glad to see ClariS and NAOTO, and congrats to Kana as well! I just wish that TOKIO would sell more...
