Weekly Oricon Chart: Albums/Singles/Music-DVDs
The group FUNKY MONKEY BABYS who will disband this June has achieved the top spot in the albums chart with their final best album, "FUNKY MONKEY BABYS LAST BEST" in the 2nd week. The album reached no.2 last week. This album is to celebrate their 10th anniversary. This is their 4th no.1 either single or album since their original studio album, "FUNKY MONKEY BABYS 4" (December 2011), a year and 3 months ago. 5 years and 11 months ago, Avril Lavigne has also missed the top spot in the debut week with her album, "Best Damn Thing" and clinched no.1 in the 2nd week. The album consists of fans' selection of songs dubbed as "Fan BEST" in Disc 1, members' selection or "Members BEST" in Disc 2, while Disc 3 is "Single BEST" with 13 of their hit songs. The limited edition has a bonus DVD with 11 music videos including their final single, "Arigatou" starring popular comedian, Akashiya Sanma.
In the singles chart, popular group, EXILE have reached no.1 with their 41st single, "EXILE PRIDE ~Konna Sekai wo Aisuru Tame~". The first week's sales has surpassed "Tada...Aitakute" (December 2005) which sold 254k in the first week, making this their best-selling first week ever.
Meanwhile, EXILE's vocalist, ATSUSHI has also topped the music-DVD and overall DVD charts simultaneously with his solo live DVD, "EXILE ATSUSHI PREMIUM LIVE ~Inochi wo Utau". This is ATSUSHI's 3rd consecutive no.1 DVD since "EXH SPECIAL EXILE ATSUSHI PREMIUM LIVE SOLO" (March 2010). This tied him with KinKi Kids' Domoto Tsuyoshi (34) with 3 consecutive no.1 DVDs since the 1st DVD in the 1st place for male soloists.
