Weekly Oricon Chart: Albums/Singles/Music-DVDs (28/1/2013~3/2/2013)
Popular idol group, SKE48 have achieved their 7th consecutive no.1 single with their 11th single, "Choco no Dorei." They keep their record in 3rd place with the most consecutive no.1 singles for female groups, after AKB48 (16) and Pink Lady (9). SKE48 is only the 4th female group to have surpassed the 500k mark after SPEED, Morning Musume and AKB48, with this single becoming their highest-selling single in the first week so far. They are also the 4th female act to reach 500k in the first week for 2 times in a row, after Utada Hikaru, Hamasaki Ayumi and AKB48.

As for DVD charts, Johnny's 4-member group, NEWS have reached the top spot in both music-DVD and overall DVD charts simultaneously with their live DVD, "NEWS LIVE TOUR 2012 -Utsukushii Koi ni Suru yo-." This is the group's 5th consecutive no.1 DVD starting from "Never Ending Wonderful Story" (August 2007). The DVD was filmed on the first day of their tour last year, August 14th, at Chichibunomiya Rugby Jou (Tokyo), also their first open-air concert.
Meanwhile, popular rock unit, B'z released their live from 2008, "B'z LIVE-GYM 2008 -ACTION-" in both DVD and Blu-Ray, and the Blu-Ray version has topped both music-BD and overall BD charts simultaneously. This is the band's 2nd consecutive no.1 Blu-Ray since "B'z LIVE-GYM 2011 -C'mon-" (May last year). As for the DVD version, it reached no.2 in the overall DVD chart, for a DVD+BD total of 73,542 copies. To celebrate their 25th anniversary this year, B'z are releasing tour lives for 3 consecutive months beginning January. This first release is from the band's tour in 2008 as their 20th memorial year, filmed at Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya.
