While I agree that I think the source is misgendering her, I just wanted to point out that that might not be the case. I know of a couple of people who took a good long while before stating that they wanted to change their personal pronoun. One author I'm following online had been out as trans for a year or two before making the post that they were "ready" to move to male pronouns. And something similar happened to a friend of mine.
Aaaah, I see where you're coming from. Presumed that if she was comfortable enough to talk about it publically, she'd be comfortable with using female pronouns, wasn't aware it's not always the case - thanks for the clarification.
I always thought that too, until I found out otherwise. It seems like it'd be pretty straightforward doesn't it? A friend of mine was rather confused once after meeting J as she was expecting someone clearly female-looking and J was wearing jeans and had a beard! That's why there's a rule that you have to be living as a man/woman for a year before you can start hormone treatments and transitioning. Because not everyone spends everyday as their chosen gender. Sometimes it's just easier to chuck on clothes and leave, rather than spending time binding your breasts/shaving your face etc when you're only popping to the shop for a pint of milk.
