Soooooo happy about this, Chiyuu's needed a solo photobook for years, she's so photogenic. Def buying her single + book! I hope she's able to turn the negative press about her into publicity, just like Sasshi did.
Basically she got the chance to take part in a tv show where three celebs compete to see if they cam survive a month on only 10000 yen. For the month they have to live in a room surrounded by cameras. Anyway, Chiyuu gave up and stopped returning to the room, being the first celeb to quit in the shows history. Noone really knows what happened - at first it seemed like scripting or some sort of marketing, then Chiyuu apologised and said she couldn't deal with being filmed all the time. Her image has gone down in the press. It's weird, because Chiyuu has been a hard-working and popular AKB senbatsu member who joined AKB in the 2nd gen, and it's really not like her to do something unprofessional like this? She has a weak body and often works herself till she's ill. Which is why some people wonder if this was scripted, or even marketing for her upcoming solo debut.
I heard a rumor that she has had an unprofessional demeanor in the past, showing up late and acting spoiled. Not sure if this is true or not though. I still like her despite all this.
I hope she's able to turn the negative press about her into publicity, just like Sasshi did.
