Furbies not popular with Japanese youth

Aug 01, 2011 15:27

Celebrity Michishigue Sayumi conducted a new survey before going to sleep tonight. She asked Momusu's 9th generation members if they knew what a Furby is, and the clueless girls asked "We have no idea".

The shameless answer from the minions shocked Sayumi, who finally acknowledged the age gap between her and the group's newcomers. The 9th gen members are between the age of 12 and 14. Sayumi is 22.

Due to the high interest of the sociological finding, we know share Sayumi's comments:

Blog post by Sayumi on July 31st:

Last night, even when I went to take a bath, I was sleep sleepy, it was terrible
I kept shutting my eyes so
I was kinda acting like a Furby with my face! (lol)

Furby, how nostalgic☆

The owl plushie!? It was a toy.

They were quite popular back in the day, Sayumi had like 2 of them

When I asked the 9th gen members, “Do you know what a Furby is?” they answered “I have no idea.”

A generation gap!! ~(^_^;)
