Viewers' desired spot

Published on June 13 in Rakuten WOMAN magazine the editors of "Location Japan" introduced "The ultimate romantic dating spot". "Location Japan" is a magazine which gives information about the shooting locations and attractions from various Japanese movies, dramas, etc.

Out of all television drama location spots, the spot that is recommended as the one that will make your man want to propose is "Ebisu Garden Place" located in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo. This spot was featured in the 2005 TBS drama "Hana yori Dango" (Season 1).

Meet up at "HanaDan"'s Clock Tower Square

"Ebisu Garden Place"'s Clock Tower Square was the meeting place for the first date of rich-boy and heir Doumyoji Tsukasa, played by Arashi's Matsumoto Jun, and poor high school student Makino Tsukushi, played by Inoue Mao. The picture of a soaked to the skin Doumyoji Tsukasa while waiting in the rain for Tsukushi was an impressive scene which left an impression on viewers.

Following that, it was used occasionally in 2007's "Hana yori Dango 2 Returns". Used in 2008's "Hana yori Dango Final" movie for the shooting of the wedding scene, "Ebisu Garden Place" is known as "'Hana yori Dango''s Holy Land". Doumyoji and Tsukushi's place of memories has become a memorable place among viewers and is often full with visitors taking pictures.

"Ebisu Garden Place" was originally the location of the Ebisu Beer factory and is lined with brick buildings, remnants from when it was a factory. Surrounded by a retro brasserie (bar-restaurant), theatre, hotel and restaurants with a beautiful night view, it is a popular date spot.

Went there but sadly I was missing a man to propose to me. XD   Where are Doumyoji or Hanazawa Rui when you need them??

(NOTE: There are signs saying you're not supposed to take pictures there and sit on it cuz it's a statue (hence the flower beds around it which were removed for the drama and during the winter) but I conveniently pretended I didn't understand Japanese and took pictures anyway. Plus there were Japanese people doing it after me so I felt less guilty :P )
Mods: Was unsure how to tag this one. Let me know if there's a better tag.
