Is Maki avex's new misono? ami? diva in the making?
Early in Summer 2008, Goto signed up with rhythm zone sub-label of avex trax where in 2009 she released the collaboration mini album "Sweet Black". 2010 would see her moving from rhythm zone to avex, where she released the mini album ONE. Next year, she's scheduled a new mini album release, "Gloria" on January 12th.

During the past two years and a half, Maki has sung many different styles, but she hasn't had a debut single yet. Only three mini albums, each of them absolutely different to the others. Because of this, controversy has recently aroused on the web (2ch and other places) that Avex just doesn't know what style should they give to Maki for a proper single re-debut. For example, Ayu, Namie and Koda have very specific styles attached to their brand image. At the moment, Maki does not. Let's help her pick one!
The media promotion Maki's getting, basically consisting of magazines and talk-shows, makes her look like she's following the celebrity-ish path of misono; while the constant style switching reminds some people of Ami Suzuki's career.
