happy birthday to meee
umm.. it's my birthday today! I'm 19! Today Amelia and I are going to Krispy Kreme for breakfast and then to the mall for a little bit before our clubs this afternoon.
Training school went well and flew by! I was exhausted by the end of it- literally. I'm still kinda tired but not as bad I don't think. We had to leave for the airport at 3:45 am on Friday! Our plane didn't leave until 6:50, so we had a jolly old time sitting in the airport for a couple hours being silly. We didn't get to sit next to each other on the plane, which was a bummer. When we got to Boston a really nice lady named Annaliza picked us up and then we had to stop at Boston Housing Authority downtown to sign a liscence to do the 5 Day Clubs. Guess what my title was? Boston Coordinator. Ahh! It's becoming more and more real that this is actually what I'm going to be doing! It's exciting, though. So that was an adventure trying to find our way around. We got to the house we're staying at and we're staying in the basement that they turned into like a little apartment which is very nice. We drove out to western Mass. for CYIA for the weekend to talk about Fast Track and it was soo nice to just get away and relax. It's so pretty out there. We drove home yesterday morning and made some stops in Concord to take pictures of cool historical stuff like Walden Pond and Sleepy Hollow Cemetary and Old North Bridge and Orchard House because Amelia and I are geeks and we love that kind of stuff. I think she was slightly more excited than I was, though. ;)
So we started clubs yesterday and they went really well. The kids in the 1st one were really well behaved and we had a lot of fun with them. The 2nd one was a little rougher because there were so many other people around and the kids were really rowdy. But they all sat and paid attention for the Bible lesson which was amazing- praise God! Then we went to Stop and Shop to do a little grocery shopping. We got sandwich stuff in case our host family wouldn't be home to feed us or whatnot. It was so weird buying our own groceries! But slightly exciting as well. Well, Amelia just got out of the shower so I'm about to hop in to get ready for our fun and adventurous day!!
