Its been awhile...
Not sure if many still use livejournal???...I know I haven't been on here in awhile. I am a facebook addict. But now I find myself with plenty of time on my hands unfortunately.:(
I quit my retail management job of almost 4.5 years. MRS(MichiganRehabilitation Services) helped land me an office job. I was working as a loan processor specializing in short sales. I was learning and thought I was doing pretty decent for someone who had no knowledge of this process. Of course I was happy to get this job...office hours..easier for me physically with my restrictions due to MS etc...no more crappy retail! But I worked there 3 weeks and was fired...not my fault of course. The office manager was a bitch..she didn't seem to care for me and think I was learning fast enough and they let me go. Their reason was "I was argumentative". Yeah...ok..whatever.
I filed for unemployment right away. Its almost been a month now and i still have not received a check. Apparently when your fired it takes longer..they have to make sure you weren't fired for something that was your fault and yada yada yada. So I wait till I get the approval letter and then I will finally have some money coming in. I have to continue to call in with MARVIN or do it online and hopefully soon I will get approved and get my money. This coming Monday will be my 2nd time calling in. So this Monday I will be due pay for 4 weeks.
I hope it gets approved soon. It seems like when things get bad its always around Christmas time. No money..struggling...xmas coming up...my birthday is in December and we are broke. Fun!!
I also filed for Disability recently. Still waiting to hear on that. Last time I got denied because I made too much...they did not even look at my medical...well now I don't make crap so I figured I will try again. Its worth a shot and all they can tell me is NO. I sent in all my copies of my medical records that I had and restrictions etc. My list contains about 9 things that are wrong with me and I struggle with including my MS so we shall see.
If anyone reads this and I still have some friends on here I hope you are well and doing good. I will be posting on here more regularly now. If you still use LJ and read entries please say HI if you would! Thanks.
