An Update!! WOW!
I haven't been on here as much as I use to be. I frequent Facebook now daily. I do come here and read friends' posts but I don't do much updating as I am sure you have all noticed.
Chris is still seeking work. I thought things were gonna change not too long ago..he had 2 interviews in one week which is a very rare thing these days but didn't get any call backs so we are still stuck in the same boat. His unemployment runs out in mid March as far as we know and there is an extension in the works and the Senate is voting on it at the end of this month but as for right now we are basically screwed if he doesn't get a job real soon or gets another extension. It sucks not knowing what the near future holds.
My hours have picked up again so thats good. For awhile there I was only getting 30-28 hours a week even though I am full time. Payroll was cut drastically this year. My last paycheck was the worst. After giving Chris the usual amount I contribute to bills I had $86 left to last me for 2 weeks. I buy groceries out of my money too. So yeah very little groceries this time. Still can't afford to make a trip to the salon to get a much needed haircut. Hoping that will happen when I get paid next week since I will finally have a decent check again. I still need a new purse too.
We were thinking about moving again. Chris' brother's house is gonna be for rent again. Its a big house and has been newly remodeled...has new windows...roof and siding...he lived there for a few years and did alot of work to it. Its pretty nice and we would have alot more room and closet space which I really need but after driving thru the neighborhood the other day I am not interested.
Rent would be a bit cheaper...and we would be renting from his brother would could be a benefit if we were in a bind one month but I am not living somewhere where I have to worry about my car being stolen or my house being broken into if we wanna take off for a few days. The houses for sale around there had busted out windows...there was graffiti on the cable/ telephone polls and there were a couple houses with boarded up windows around the corner. I know a state cop lives across the street and they know alot of the surrounding neighbors and his parents use to live there a long time ago but its nothing like where we live now. Here people keep up their houses....alot of the original home buyers still live around here...its quiet....we are friends with the neighbors and know them real well...I haven't heard of any break ins or anything around here and the neighborhood is decent.
Yeah I would like 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms and lots of closet space etc but its not worth moving into that neighborhood and not feeling safe. Chris was annoyed with me but did say it wasn't that nice of a neighborhood. Now I am gonna have to tell his brother we are not interested in looking at it. He will prolly be annoyed...and think I am being stupid but I don't see him and his wife and 2 girls living there anymore and when he did live there his beater car got stolen out of the street right in front of his house. NO thanks.
I have today off...might go see a movie..dunno. Excited about seeing Cold again on the 26th...Nonpoint is opening for them. I bought tickets back when I won that $500 American Express giftcard. I also got some awesome super sparkly eyeshadow by Urban Decay called Stardust. Its awesome and i highly recommend it if you want a sparkly shadow that doesn't crease or make a huge mess all over your face! I got the color moonspoon and adore it. I want to get a couple other colors.
Hope everyone is doing well out there. Its snowing here...again....ick...I am ready for spring! Now I just need to get motivated...again...and loose some more weight. Still have only lost 5 lbs....I have not been trying though...I need to start really watching what I am eating again and really cut back on certain things.
