A fun/relaxed holiday

Was great to have a few days off and to reflect on things like chocolate, and CVs.
Actually a bit too much contemplating and not enough nomming or writing of, in fact!

Was able to see spidermouse and silvertomcat for the first time in ages, and it was fab...the 'Mouse answered the door with an egg in her hand and an apology on her lips, "I'm afraid you've arrived in the middle of a Chicken Emergency"...

...so my immediate thoughts were "mmm...Chicken" and "Did you run out of seasoning?".

Of course, in reality chicken was not on the menu, or rather not that particular chicken, a completely and unrelated one would have been sacrificed to provide the pizza topping later, but the Grand High Executioner / Senior Seasonist at Pizza Hut would have done that, presumably.

Introduced them both to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, which was well received (who doesn't love Steve-the-monkey?) and I'd heartily recommend it - don't let the Nickelodeon-tastic trailer put you off!

I introduced them to Chrononauts, which might have gone better if I'd played it recently ... but we all got the hang of it and enjoyed it.

Aside from that, I largely failed to get as far in my Android programming as I'd intended, instead socialising with my brother and slycat over Steam, and having a friend round to watch new Who this evening. On the upside, I did at least get a quick widget on screen and able to launch a framework of an app, which is a start. Oh, and reading - finally been making progress on "The Cole Protocol" (one of the Halo novels).
