Went to campus today with a friend to donate blood. I thought my iron count would be too low but I figured I'd give it a shot. Iron was fine, ink is not. I didn't realize the restriction time on donating after getting a tattoo was 1 year. Apparently tattoo parlors aren't FDA regulated and are thus, risky. I'm sorry but do they screen the blood or don't they? I don't see how getting a tattoo makes you more likely to have a disease than say... people who have had sex with people they didn't know. And they don't ask if you've had unprotected sex with a stranger and shit like that, they should though. I dunno, it just seems extreme, and not terribly logical. ::sigh:: So I guess I won't be donating blood for a few years... or ever. I don't intend to stop getting tattooed any time soon so yeah. That bums me out.
I'll probably be mopey for the rest of the day.
