So, out of curiosity, for those that actually are remotely familiar with the tax system of the US (or any similar systems; I'm not sure how Europe's/Asia's/etc system is set up):
Should (small) business owners/private contractors (10-99s for US) be allowed to write off money spent as business expenses on their taxes?
IE: If you were to buy, say, a $200 projector, you would not have to pay taxes on said $200 projector if your business can logically make use of it. Remember, the expense has to make sense.)
What's the tax system like in other countries? That is, if there's any possible way for a brief overview without it being a textbook :x
