Yayyyy it is Yuletide season! :D I just posted my letter (albeit to Tumblr and not LJ) and our preambles are still rather similar, obviously because awesome people are awesome. I'm curious which fandoms you requested, which is really my way of saying, I'm curious if you requested Leviathan! Cuz I did, and your cross-dressing reference is giving me hope. I need there to be more fics in this fandom, stat.

I did request Leviathan! (Also Young Wizards and Baccano!) I actually read your Yuletide request earlier and I am having a hard time not linking to your Dear Yuletide and saying, "I WANT WHAT SHE WANTS".

I should really write something up myself, though.

Haha THIS IS GOOD TO KNOW. I may have stolen the word "kissyfaces" in my Leviathan description directly from your vocabulary?

Also, this may be the first year where the fandoms I have offered and the fandoms I have requested are exactly the same? I mean, I only requested three and had to offer four, but three of my offers were the same as what I requested...I am just FEELING these fandoms right now! What is up with this?! (I mean aside from the fact that Deryn is awesome and should just rule the world already.)

Also can I just mention that I keep thinking that a) it would be awesome if somehow we got matched with each other but b) I'm a little afraid we would somehow end up writing each other the exact same fic?

"Kissyfaces" is a good vocabulary word. It encompasses a great deal of subtle description. (Also it rolls off of the tongue pretty well which is why I use it.)

You know, if we ended up getting each other, that would be pretty amazing. Also a stunning coincidence. But you're probably right that we'd end up writing almost the exact same fic. But maybe we'd end up getting matched for different fandoms? (Also that would be bad because I would have to find somebody else to beta, and then what would I do?!?!?!)

Kissyfaces is the BEST vocabulary word. It is, as my sister would say, subtle with a capital B. And it does trip off the tongue, doesn't it?

Also I had the SAME THOUGHT about beta-ing and how awkward that would be. (Now that we have actually talked about this I feel like we are either drastically increasing or drastically decreasing the chances of this actually happening.)
