november writing challenges

So it's kind of to the point where I have to choose between doing NaNoWriMo and my Kuroshitsuji Big Bang, and... I think, to be quite honest, I'm going to cut NaNo. I'm kind of sad about cutting it because, despite it being crazy stressful, November is kind of ridiculously fun because of it. But I don't think it's too much of a loss, as I will still be working on a Big Huge Writing Project, and my looming deadline will still be December 1/2nd-ish. (And I have to finish it long enough before then to get it beta-ed, hahaha.)

Of course, I hoped that maybe by this point I would be at a place in my BB where I could feasibly do both, but, umm, yeah. That was a vain hope and I kind of knew it.

I think that this is for the better, honestly. This story has been stewing in my head for awhile, and I have been chipping away at it and hacking through the details and tabbing over to google for about two months and I think I've finally got things straightened out. With long writing projects like this, it's always the research that trips me up and I finally feel like I've got a grasp on my story.

SO YEAH. NOT DOING NANO. I DON'T REGRET IT THOUGH.

I might do some kind of word-count counter thing, just to keep track of my progress. And I'll probably lurk the NaNo forums and make use of their resources and do some word wars as well. So I will not be a total non-participant. I WILL JUST BE A CHEATING, CHEATING PARTICIPANT WHO ALREADY HAS 6,000 WORDS, AND IS ONLY WORKING TOWARDS 20K, HAHAHA.
