Awwww! On the one hand I love Peter as a father, and know he rightly deserves it - but on the other hand it still feels weird. Because we've seen him so awkward around kids and babies. But this is just too sweet, and I love how Peter acknowledges that it doesn't come easy to him. I wish we could have seen more of it, because it is just a sweet mental picture.

Peter was awkward with the kids in the show but still very sensible about their well-being. So I think it'd make sense that he'd become a good father. Like I said, not naturally at first, but he'd soon be good at it. We've seen with Neal (the grown-up one) that Peter has a paternal instinct. His only problem is that he doesn't talk the language of kids.

But yes, the idea of daddy Peter is just too adorable. ♥

The image of Peter enjoying a peaceful, intimate moment with his baby boy is always a smile-inducer. I can also imagine El rolling her eyes when Peter begins to hold forth to one and all on his new-found expertise.
