That ending is a killer! So powerful, indeed, but like I already told you, I'd like to think that after dreams like that their reunion will be that much beautiful cuz it'll be a dream come true.

We are ALL missing Neal THAT much.

What a nail-biting alternate take on what happens. And you brilliantly captured that comfort we crave from our dreams of loved ones. The pain of knowing it's not real juxtaposed against the sweet, if momentary, peace and calm of being with them again, if only in our dreams.

Oh my! The last paragraph - wow! The sudden change between Peter's dream and his bleak reality is practically palpable, and the very last sentence holds so much emotion, despite its shortness. Excellent story, thanks for sharing!
