Wow, it's been a month since I blogged in here!
I've been doing so much writing lately that I just realized I haven't blogged in here in ages. That's because most of what I'm doing right now is motorcycle-related, and I've been keeping a separate motorcycle blog, and blogging there regularly. Woops!
So lets see: I now own a 1999 Kawasaki Ninja 250, which I bought from Masukomi. She's amused/annoyed because she sold the thing but it's still sitting in front of the house, and tomorrow there will likely be FOUR two-wheeled vehicles in front of the house. (Anybody want to buy a scooter? She's selling two, soon.) I've got all the gear I need to ride the motorcycle, although the pants don't quite fit at the moment. I've been getting up early and going to the gym every day in an effort to fit into them soon. I'm taking a motorcycle class April 3rd and 4th, and hope to insure and register the bike the following week (once I get my motorcycle endorsement) so I can start riding it.
Other than that, I've been doing a crap-ton of work to enable me to buy the bike. Now I've bought the bike, but I still seem to have a crap-ton of work to do and am currently procrastinating. (I did so much work in the past few weeks that now my brain is screaming at me "I NEED A BREAK!" but I still have lots of work to do. Like write 25k words by Monday. Plus some other things.) So yes. I've been working a lot and I bought a motorcycle.
That's pretty much all there is to report. My life is in a fairly static phase. My grandpa's brother passed away a few weeks ago, but I couldn't make it out to Indiana to visit him. I did, however, discover that there's a big thing the first week of June (one of my cousins is getting married) and family will be there from all over the country, so I'm planning to ride my motorcycle out there that week and visit folks.
Otherwise, the ex tried getting in touch with me twice more via Facebook, after a series of text messages in which he totally insulted me and said that me 'not taking him back' was the best thing I ever did for him. He's tried to get ahold of me twice since then, most recently on St. Patrick's Day, so I finally blocked him on FB. He could still text me, theoretically, but I don't think he has my phone number anymore.
The other ex from last year - the one who periodically complains about being stuck in our lease without any financial contribution from me (even though I've been gone for over 5 months and he hasn't found a roommate) apparently just bought a MacBook. So yeah. While I was feeling vaguely guilty about buying the Ninja, I'm not anymore. If he can afford a MacBook, he doesn't need my money.
