This just in: I dont think Jimmy Fallon sucks. So far, he's been funny. Actually darn funny. Late Night will survive. Big shoes (Dude, Conan is huge), but his band is The Roots! It MUST be good.
Harriet Miers and Karl Rove are testifying?? Under oath?? What the hell! Oh yeah, right, not televised... gotcha. Its a start.
Manny Ramirez "settled" for 45 million for 2 years of playing baseball. His words. Isnt that quaint of him? How WILL he survive on his meager salary? How Will the poor man manage?
In animal news, we found the first jaguar in the USA for some time. And we followed it, tested it, and promptly put it down for having bad kidneys. I understand the principle of putting a suffering beast out of its pain, but it just SOUNDS bad. Further in animal news, Paris Hilton has a new $10,000 teacup dog to ignore. Isnt that special. At least with the other 17 she has, it wont be too lonely. Hell of a pack Paris has.
So a dude in CA was accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death. In the middle of his trial, he ran behind the judge and started punching her. He was subsequently shot to death. I wonder if he was guilty.
Simon Cowell was pulled over in Beverly Hills. No seat belt. No license. And no ticket. On the good side, all those in LA now have a marvelous case for precedence. Thank you TMZ.
The supposed letter from the US to Russia with the quid pro quo for abandoning the missle shield in Europe (which doesnt work and wont work) for Russia helping us to pressure Iran to give up nukes (which it can and will use), is absolute genius. Whether or not its denied by the White House, thats fine, its genius. Helluva trade. Helluva way to start improving US-Russia relations. Absolute genius.
I dont even know what to say about Octomom. America doesnt have laws like China about how many kids you can have, and I believe it shouldnt. But this nut is the best argument for baby limits I've ever heard in this country. You can have as many kids as you want, whatever. But this nut is unemployed, on welfare, and living in her moms house on student loans. With 6 kids that she can barely care for already. And she had the rest of her embryos emplanted (with taxpayer money) because she wanted "Just one more baby." Maybe this will close her up. So, the state of California and the Federal government will be supporting her and her 14 kids for at least 18 years, probably more considering the high chance for disabilities amongst them. And now CA is sending in child protective services to investigate. Which I'm all for. If she cant care for all 14 of them, with or without handouts and charity irregardless, they may need to be placed in foster care until she CAN care for them. Seeing as how she was already being investigated, I dont think its much of a stretch.
Am I the ONLY person already excited about the 2010 Senate elections??? Seriously? Dems looking to hold 4-5, Reps looking to hold 4-5, 8 or more are certainly too close to call at this point. Colorado, Illinois, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, New Hampshire, and Ohio. Good stuff. All the Dems need is a 2 seat pickup and retain all the other seats and we have a fillibuster proof majority. Yummyness. IL is probable, but not with Roland Burris. I think Co is likely to stay Dem. Kentucky likely to stay Rep. But FL, LA, MO, NH and OH are genuinely up for grabs at this point in time. It may be kind of premature, but dammit, I'm excited.
A friend asked me if I'm straight now that me and AC are going on three years nearly. I told him to go to hell and leave his girlfriend. Its not about a lack of attraction to dames. I love women. Love the way they talk, the way they laugh, the way they smell, the way they walk, the way their minds work. Love women. But women are nuts. The emotional highs and lows and all the rest is more than I think I'd be able to commit to for now. Love AC. Very much. And one of the best things about AC is that he understands that I love women, accepts it, and basically lets me do whatever I want in that respect. I can/do/have/will have girlfriends. And thats okay. And we'll see what the hell happens. I'm not worried.
